Lately I’ve been feeling the pull inward that comes with this season. The quiet invitation to descend - not as a fall, but as a deepening.

I’m noticing what stirs beneath the surface when the world grows softer.
What parts of me are asking to be seen.
What truths emerge when I stop rushing toward the light.

These are the questions that accompany me lately:
-what parts of myself feel like they need to hide, and what do they need from me?
-what am I hiding to stay safe and is that still serving me?
-what would it feel like to meet my inner world with tenderness and a knowing that nothing needs to rush or be improved upon?

I’m learning that shadow work isn’t about healing what’s broken.
It’s about remembering that nothing ever was.

Lately I’ve been sitting with this idea.⁣

It feels like we’re on the edge of remembering something ancient and powerful about who we are - not just on a societal level, but energetically, spiritually.⁣

When I talk about this, I’m not saying we all need to dive into psychic training or explore past life regressions (though some might feel called to). I’m simply pointing to the possibility that we are more than we often let ourselves believe.⁣

🧿 What if your presence is already sacred?⁣
🧿 What if your ordinary life is the temple?⁣
🧿 What if the most mysterious, powerful, wise force isn’t somewhere far away - but inside you?⁣

Even just pausing to consider this might shift something.⁣

Our hearts and souls are portals.⁣

We don’t need to be anywhere special to create, alchemize, or transmute energy. The liminal doorway, the deep ocean - it’s all inside of us.⁣

You don’t have to figure it all out. You don’t have to fully understand the mystery. Just being in awe of the unknown - and of yourself - can be enough.⁣

You are already the temple.⁣

Questions to reflect on:⁣
🕯️What if you didn’t have to seek out sacredness - what if it was already inside you?⁣

🕯️Can you feel the portal within your own heart today? What does it want you to know?⁣

🕯️Where in your life are you already showing up as a temple, without even realizing it?⁣

🕯️When have you felt connected to something deeper - something you couldn’t explain but knew was real?⁣

🕯️What if the way you listen, care, or love is already a form of alchemy?⁣

“Fresh starts give us permission to begin again — that no matter what happened in the past, we have an opportunity to make changes”

- Lia Avellino, LCSW, advisor of Head & Heart at THE WELL

In the Springtime, it’s natural to crave feelings of renewal. We want to feel that we’re evolving, along with the seasons. Here are a few ways to make that happen this week:

Forgive - Have you been holding on to something that’s been weighing you down? Maybe a family member or a friend has hurt you? Maybe you didn’t live up to your own expectations? Take a moment to send love and forgiveness. We’re starting over.

Breathe - Every breath is an opportunity to start over. As you scroll through Instagram, take a short pause. Create space for 3 deep breathes. Start over.

Move - Have you been feeling a little stuck? Maybe your office space is feeling crampy and worn out? Bring your laptop to a coffee shop today or take yourself on a walk at lunchtime. Maybe change the layout of your space just a bit. You might be surprised by the burst of energy it offers you.

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on Food for Thought Talks—the podcast where mind and body meet—put on by Alixis, a registered dietitian, and Alexia, a registered psychotherapist, my former intern, and friend.

During this podcast, Alixis and I dove into the healing power of nature and how connecting with the outdoors can reduce stress, heal emotional wounds, and deepen our sense of belonging. 🌳🌿🌄🏞️

It was a wonderful opportunity to share my passion for eco-therapy and discuss how nature can support mental well-being.

Time has shifted, stretching daylight into the evening hours. As we adjust, we’re reminded of how change moves quietly but leaves a lasting mark. ☀️⏳

As we navigate these shifts, remember to give yourself grace this week. Just as the seasons change gently but powerfully, allow yourself the space to adapt and grow at your own pace.
