These are common symptoms associated with the period of time before and after menopause. They can start years before or at any time during and after menopause and are a result of hormonal changes. The hormone changes can occur gradually over many years but they can often happen suddenly impacting how you feel physically and mentally in many ways. You do not need to suffer through this transition as most women will experience signifiant benefits, both short and long term, from bioIdentical hormone replacement.

The doctors at Community Natural Health Clinic have over 25 years experience with women’s health, menopausal concerns, and hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Brian Gluvic Practice Update

We have made some big changes to our practice. We have decided to go to a primarily virtual format and close our current physical location. I will continue to provide family medical care with an emphasis on diet, nutrition, lifestyle counselling, bio identical hormone replacement and natural therapies and a patient-centered approach that aims to identify and treat the root causes of disease and a holistic perspective that considers a patient's genetics, environment, and lifestyle. This change provides me with the opportunity to spend less time administering a practice (managing, paperwork,…) and more time to focus on patient-centred care. We have launched a new website, communitynaturalhealth.janeapp.com, that allows for online appointment bookings and we are still accessible by phone at 604-575-7275. We will still offer the same high quality supplements except you will have the option mail delivery or pick up in our white rock location. We thank you for trusting us in your care and look forward to talking with you in the future. Thank you for referring your family and friends and please continue to do so.

Not only is there concern for DNA damage with Sucralose (found in many sugar free beverages and refined foods) but this study also found damage to the digestive lining. This is a bad combination for children and adolescents as it potentially sets them up for all kinds of increased disease risk - cancer, autoimmunity, allergies,....

The researchers found that sucralose causes DNA to break apart, putting people at risk for disease. They also linked sucralose to leaky gut syndrome.

4 C𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘅
There are many common misconceptions regarding botox. These are the most common ones that I hear from patients.

#𝟭: 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘅 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻
FACT: Botox has been used for over 3 decades and involved in thousands of studies that have proved that it is safe and effective - we do know a lot about it. Also, Botox only works to relax the muscles where it is injected - it doesn’t spread to other parts of the body.

#𝟮: 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘅 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗮 “𝗳𝗿𝗼𝘇𝗲𝗻” 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸
FACT: A “frozen” look is usually a result of injecting too much Botox. An experienced injector will know how many units to inject to get the desired effect but also a natural look. My treatments are tailored to the individual’s needs and their unique anatomy.

#𝟯: 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘅, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲
FACT: Actually, Botox has both short term and long term effects. Even after a few treatments of Botox, the facial muscles causing the wrinkles become weaker than they were before starting the treatments, even after the Botox is gone. If you decide to stop using Botox for an extended period of time, the wrinkles will gradually return with repeated movements. But, Botox will never worsen wrinkles.

#𝟰: 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘅 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗹
FACT: This is not a painful procedure with an experienced injector. Using certain techniques I am able to significantly reduce any discomfort with the injections.

Benefits of Cold Water Showesr or Baths

Bathing in cold water or ice may cut "bad" body fat and reduce the risk of disorders such as diabetes, but other claims of health benefits are less defined.

Processed foods as addictive as to***co products?

According to a recent US study highly processed foods are as addictive as to***co products and meet the same scientific criteria that are used to determine to***co products are addictive.
Numerous studies confirm that consuming highly processed foods significantly increases your risk of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, certain cancers and many other conditions.
How do we wean ourselves off of these foods? One study suggests that a low carbohydrate diet together with psychoeducational support significantly reduces food addiction symptoms. In our practice, we also find that low carbohydrate diets along with some form of mental/emotional/educational support is most effective in helping people wean off of these additive and disease causing foods.

Botox injections: Glabella
The Glabella area, otherwise know as frown lines, are the most common area of injection. Frown lines are the result of muscles that become stronger over time with facial expressions commonly associated with anger or frustration. Injecting these areas reduces the strength of these muscles therefore eliminating the wrinkles and the "angry" expression.

Helping Babies get a Healthy Start

For the first handful of months, infants experience some incredible changes particularly with their digestive and immune systems. Their digestive systems are adapting to their new source of nutrition, human milk or alternatives, while preparing over the next several months for more complex nutritional sources such as solid foods. At the same time the immune system, much of which is imbedded in the digestive lining, learns how to react to potential infectious threats while learning to not react to the millions of other benign chemicals that accompany food and the environment. While all of this “learning” is happening in the first months, you babies may experience some symptoms like fussiness, reflux, constipation and rashes. In this video, we discuss natural strategies to help your baby adapt to their new world.
