Dear friends of Yoga and having fun,

I'd like to tell you about a unique opportunity for you: a Yoga class in the snow!

The Whitehorse Nordic Centre is holding its third Whitehorse Nordic Festival this coming Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 11am to 4pm or so.

As part of their programming that day I am offering two short Snow-Yoga classes in a tent (or maybe outdoors?) on the snow.

These unique Level 1 classes are free and open to anyone physically and mentally able to participate.

Classes are held:

Sunday, March 22, 2026
Noon and 1300 hrs
in a tent in 'The Stadium' just downhill from the clubhouse, and near the Canada Games Centre parking lot.

An Iyengar Yoga Workshop with Senior Teacher Louie Ettling.

We are delighted to welcome Louie Ettling, one of Canada’s most experienced and respected Iyengar Yoga teachers, back to Whitehorse for a special weekend workshop.

Dates & Times

Saturday, May 23
9:30 am – 12:00 pm
2:00 – 4:30 pm

Sunday, May 24
9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Teachers only: 2:30 – 4:30 pm

Venue: Grey Mountain School Gym, Whitehorse, Yukon

Fee: $200

The workshop will offer 8 hours of practice over two days for regular yoga students, with an additional session dedicated to Iyengar yoga teachers.

Louie is an exceptional teacher, bright, compassionate, and deeply experienced. Her teaching is both precise and generous, and it is truly a gift to have her coming to the North. I sincerely hope you can join us for this special opportunity.

This workshop is recommended for students with prior yoga experience. Priority will be given to participants attending both days; however, please let us know if you are only able to attend part of the workshop.

Hello Everyone,
this is a reminder that classes with me, Richard Mueller, certified
Iyengar Yoga teacher, will continue for another two months until the
end of April 2026. Then I'll take a long summer break from Elder Active Yoga until autumn.
Come while these classes are on! Participate in a great variety of
poses every:

Thursdays, 10am to 11:30am
at The Northern Lights School of Dance (in the Guild Hall), 14th Avenue, Porter Creek, Whitehorse.

You can also pay $25 cash at class.

My Marsh Lake Community Centre regular class,
Tuesdays 5pm to 6:15pm, will continue further into spring, until we all want to spend more time in the summery outdoors.

I just wanted to remind you that my classes are ongoing and will for only another two months - until the end of April. Then I intend to take my annual summer break for outdoorsy pursuits.

Update regarding Carcross Yoga venue, Wednesday noon to 1pm classes will be held at the Fire hall next to the RCMPolice station instead of Haa Shagoon Hidi.
Classes are free to all participants - some fitness is required.
