Dear Yoginis,

November is around the corner, and hopefully by then, we’re all cozied up and happy in the knowledge that the garden has been put to sleep and the outdoor furniture put away 😌☕️

Before we talk classes and registrations, I wanted to thank you for showing up time after time with your beautiful energy, open heart, and always be ready to giggle with me!

Now to the ‘serious’ stuff:

Drop-in $20 book online or contact me
Monthly registration $18/class
2-month pass $16.92

🗓️It is okay to not always book the same day if it adjusts better to your schedule, just make sure to book online or contact me.

🧘Classes run with a minimum of 3 participants.

🤧Remember that if you are sick you can reschedule within the month or pass timeline.
If I cancel it’s a credit for you to use within the year.
If you cancel under 72hrs because you had other plans or something came up, you loose your class.
And finally if I cancel due to bad weather it’s a lost class too. Thanks for your understanding.

Looking forward to finalizing the chakra system with in November the Throat Chakra - neck & shoulder release and breath practices, and in December the Third Eye & Crown Chakras - slow practices, soft inversion and meditation.

Kindly,

Julie Lelièvre Bradley-Low, CYT

Flow into Fall mini-retreat is this Sunday!

Here is a *major* reason why you should join:

Contrast therapy helps with pain, inflammation, and muscle recovery especially for
Osteoarthritis (OA) and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) by alternating hot and cold temperatures to improve circulation and stimulate nerve pathways.

The alternating hot and cold temperatures cause blood vessels to dilate and contract, creating a "pumping" effect that increases blood flow, oxygen delivery, and the removal of metabolic waste products.

It can benefit conditions like stress and anxiety by regulating the nervous system.

A haven for creative minds 🍁

Autumn is a season inducing slowing down and introspection
Before we close up our cabin for the year we’re looking to host creative minds!

If you, or someone you know, is looking for a retreat, away from urbanized centres, craving connections with nature and oneself, we might have exactly what you’re searching for.

Our sleeping cabin is a cozy building oriented to the rising sun, with view on our fruit and nut orchards. The sounds of the farm, insects and nature are all around you.

It is a quiet, private and peaceful getaway, ideal for creating and relaxing.

It is steps away from our Wellness Studio offering weekly yoga classes and massages.

On the cabin site you have access to an outdoor hot shower, fire pit and a barbecue. Inside the cabin is a mini fridge, a toaster and a kettle as well as an electric fireplace.

Free wifi is available but spotty, ideal to unplug!

Our cabin is at a great discounted Fall price for weekday rentals from 3 to 5 nights with a small dditional fee for an extra guest.

Contact us now directly for more details and to book our special offer.

Feel free to have a peek at our profile on Airbnb to see the pictures and amenities.

PS: we are at biking (or short drive) distance of Wiarton, Colpoys Bay beaches and the Bruce’s Caves.

Great facts about the benefits of the mini-retreat I will be co-hosting with Carly on the Equinox weekend 💛

Our September 21th mini-retreat offers combined benefits for physical, mental, and emotional well-being, including stress reduction, improved circulation and recovery, muscle relaxation and flexibility, enhanced mood, and a deep sense of calm and connection to oneself.

Restorative yoga lengthens the body and creates space in the joints, while the hot and cold cycles of contrast therapy improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and speed muscle recovery.

The alternating heat and cold in contrast therapy causes blood vessels to expand and contract, which enhances blood flow throughout the body, promoting better recovery and reducing stiffness.

Yoga poses help to release tension and improve flexibility, which can be further supported by the increased blood flow from contrast therapy.

The heat from contrast therapy aids in detoxification by helping to flush out toxins, while the stimulated lymphatic system also helps clear waste from the body.

Restorative yoga and calming herbal teas help to soothe the mind, while contrast therapy's effect on the nervous system and the release of endorphins promotes emotional balance and a sense of well-being.

Cold exposure, a component of contrast therapy, is known to boost mood, while the calming ritual of tea drinking and mindful movement of yoga foster inner peace and a more positive outlook.

By providing a dedicated time to disconnect from daily distractions, this type of retreat encourages a deeper connection with the present moment, which is cultivated through mindful yoga practice and the quiet ritual of tea.

The combination of these practices creates a holistic approach to well-being, addressing physical discomfort, mental fatigue, and emotional imbalances.

The restorative yoga provides passive rest, contrast therapy stimulates the body's natural healing mechanisms, and herbal tea soothes the mind and body, all contributing to profound relaxation and a revitalized feeling.

The intentional integration of these practices helps to cultivate a stronger mind-body connection, fostering a greater awareness of your physical and emotional states.

Dear yoginis & yogis,

I wanted to share with you why I’m excited about this month’s event at the Studio: Flow into Fall

Years ago, I used to, around the Autumn Equinox, dip in the bay or Harrison Park river water.

Even though I have Raynaud syndrome, the benefits of a cool water dip were greater than the discomfort it might create afterwards; I also learned how to not get that discomfort after cold plunging too!

The benefits I felt were a sensation of renewal, rejuvenation, and profound calm and serenity.
I also really loved the communion with nature.

I always wanted to share these feelings with people around me, that’s why I did it with my husband, and taught my children early on to be okay in cooler waters.

Now, some of you know that the last couple of years have been paved with difficult and sometimes traumatic moments for me. Even though a yoga teacher, all the breath practices in the world couldn’t reset my nervous system better than when I started to fill up my bathtub with cool water and plunge. I used to keep the bath filled and, it didn’t matter if the water was getting cold coz it was the whole point, plunge once a day to release and restart.

This helped me tremendously when we had our well issues, when finally we had a rental tank hooked up, and we needed to finish it as much as possible to get a refill, I used to fill my tub with tap cold water and keep it like that for days and plunge daily.

It took me each day a total of 7min to undress, hop in the tub starting my breath practice, taking my time to immerse myself right to my neck for 2 short minutes with controlled breath, then slowly exit and bundle up with wool socks and warm sweater, and hot drink.

Cold plunges starts at 15°C. And it’s just fine for me. I’m not a freezing plunge person…just cool enough to flush my nervous system of accumulated stress.

In this event, Carly from .co will lead us through breath practice, gentle cool plunging and we will warm up in her wood fire sauna just cradled in the cedar hedge in front of the studio.

The plunge tub will be in the sunroom. We might have a little fire crackling in the studio space too, in addition to my homegrown herbal tea blend steeping.

The fact that I can bring to my studio and share the benefits of contrast therapy mixed with yoga and breathwork is so exciting to me!

If you’re curious about it, have questions, feel free to comment and ask.

Grant, my husband RMT will participate as well as he knows how incredible the benefits are.

I’m very looking forward to this event.
