Looking for a Respite Worker to add to Jacks team!

Hey friends! I’m currently looking for a respite worker to help care for Jack when needed. He’s visually impaired, fully dependent, globally delayed and needs someone who’s caring, patient, and reliable.

Here’s a bit more about what we need:

Must be comfortable with epilepsy and g-tube feeding

Able to lift/carry 35+ lbs

Experience with complex needs is a big plus! ( not required though)

This would be a casual position

We’re in the re*****on park area

Paid position- hourly rate to be discussed.

Light housework required

My son is a sweet kid with a beautiful spirit, and we’re looking for someone who can connect with him and provide safe, attentive care.

Jack is rockin' his socks for world down syndrome day!

We also picked up some yellow/blue sprinkle cupcakes from Staci Bakes 😋😋
She is donating a dollar from every cupcake(blue/yellow sprinkle) to Windsor Down Syndrome Association !

They're open until 6 pm if you're looking for a yummy treat and to support locally :)

We took a trip to London today to see Jacks neurologist.
I haven't posted much of jacks health status lately but we have unfortunately been dealing with seizures since January.
It's so hard to watch and not be able to help him...but throughout it all, most days, Jack remains smiley.

Jack will be starting another medication. I knew that was going to happen which I'm okay with, but when you sit back and say " my child is now on 3 seizure medications" it stings a bit.

His DR said because of the severity and type of seizures he had when he was younger, plus the brain damage, he is at a much higher risk for uncontrolled epilepsy. We are VERY lucky and thankful we have had so much luck with medication thus far. Let's hope the third added med helps and he can become seizure free again.
