Help us climb out of the darkness, fight stigma and raise awareness in the fight against perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Climb Out of the Darkness Windsor Essex County and Chatham Kent a local and international fundraiser for survivors, providers, and members of the community to come together. Raising awareness for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, the Climb brings people together all over the globe near the solstice (the longest, �brightest day) to shine a light on a darkness we often don't speak about. We share stories of hope and celebrate recovery as we gather together to raise money, raise awareness and give a voice to those who no longer have one and walk together to symbolize our 'Climb' Out of the Darkness. This years even will be in person on June 26 from 10-12noon. If you can’t attend on June 26 you also have the option to complete 5km anytime during the month of June. ***The Climb Out of the Darkness is the world's largest event raising funds and awareness for the mental health of new families operated by Postpartum Support International.

💙 On the evening 🌃of June 26 check out 350 City Hall Square which will be lit up in blue 🔵and yellow 🟡 to honour perinatal mental health in Windsor Essex County.

Fun fact: Did you know on June 25 the CN tower will be lit up in blue and yellow to illuminate the Climb Out of the Darkness? Any other climbs scheduled for illumination?!

Thank you for your generous donation. We were so warmed to be a recipient along with many other amazing community providers helping children and youth. Postpartum mental health influences a child’s emotional, cognitive, and behaviour development. Funds will be used to support BABY group at Connections Early Years Family Centre. We are excited to continue this journey to help reduce stigma and raise awareness of postpartum mental health.

Approximately 6% of pregnant women and 10% of postpartum women develop anxiety. 💙 Anxiety can be experienced alone or in addition to depression.

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

• Postpartum Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
