Introducing Crossing the Threshold. A free gathering of like-minded individuals where we discuss all things spiritual!

Events offered every month or so and topics are based on feedback received during previous gatherings.

The very first one is geared towards those who are currently doing or are curious about energy healing. It does not matter if it is reiki, Rahanni, access bars…energy is energy! We will discuss best practices, challenges faced, intuitive messages you may receive and anything else that comes up!

Please note there will be separate sessions for energy exchanges for practitioners.

Consent in Spirituality
Let’s talk about consent in spirituality. This is a very important topic that is not discussed enough.

You absolutely need someone’s consent to enter their energy. It does not matter what your intentions are. It does not matter who they are. It is not debatable. You need consent.

If you are doing a reiki session for a client, you need their consent to do a reading. They only consented for reiki. You give them what they booked for. Consider offering an intuitive reiki session as well as a reiki session. This way they know what they are booking.

If you are out and see someone’s loved one who has passed, you do not tell them. They didn’t ask and did not consent.

If you are out and get a psychic messages about someone, you do not tell them. The didn’t ask and did not consent.

You see where I am going with this!? Consent. Consent. Consent. You do not know where someone is at in their life and you may think you are helping but that may just trigger them.

It is like a hug. They are great and feel great to a lot of people but not everyone! You may mean well when you give one to someone but did they want one? Are they comfortable receiving one? Did they ask for one?

We may have good intentions but we must respect boundaries. I would also encourage anyone who is receiving messages openly from spirit to start a practice of setting their own boundaries. I have been doing this many years and rarely do I get messages without asking spirit for them. My boundaries are strong and I have a good grounding, centering and shielding practice. If by chance I did see someone’s departed loved one or receive a message from spirit, I do not say anything. They didn’t ask, therefore I do not have consent.

The aphantasia scale may help you understand how you see things in your mind’s eye

Everyone is different and that is okay! This is helpful when you understand how you see things and how your client sees things. Keep this in mind when giving evidence.

You may be getting some no’s from your client when it may just be a case of not communicating in a way they envision things!
