Recovery & Beyond Winnipeg

Recovery & Beyond Winnipeg Recovery & Beyond is not-for-profit entity that facilitates a non-professional recovery support group We respect all people and all paths to recovery.

Who we are

Recovery & Beyond is a non-professional recovery support group intended for anyone who is seeking freedom from addiction. Regardless of your history or what brought you here, we welcome you. We welcome those from AA and other 12 step groups to help investigate additional paths to free us from drugs and alcohol. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba; we are not a rehab, but an open forum recovery group. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming area for anyone to investigate thoughts, concepts and approaches to recovery. Through mutual sharing and group effort, we wish to find the path that works best for us to free us from our addiction. We believe we hold the power to become the best we can be, but acknowledge we may need help to get there. Sobriety is our ultimate priority and the only requirement to attend our meetings is a desire to free our selves from addiction. We also acknowledge that a life outside of addiction and recovery can be achieved. Each individuals path to get there will be different and we are here to help discover that path.

Its Zoom night!

The topic for tonight's Recovery & Beyond Zoom meeting is Give yourself the grace you give others.

So often we’re quick to show compassion, patience, and understanding to others, but struggle to offer that same kindness to ourselves. Tonight we’ll be exploring what it means to give yourself grace, to let go of harsh self-judgment, and to treat yourself with the same care you give to those around you.

This is a supportive space where you’re welcome to share where you’ve been hard on yourself, where you’re learning to soften, or simply listen and connect with others who understand.

Feel free to share your experiences, reflections, or anything that’s been coming up for you lately. Speaking is optional, so if you're just curious, come take a peek!

🎨 What an amazing day! 🎨

Our Paint & Potluck was such a beautiful success 💛

The room was filled with laughter, creativity, great conversations, and some good food. It was incredible to see everyone come together, express themselves through art, and just enjoy being present with one another.

Moments like this are what Recovery & Beyond is all about. Connection, community, and creating positive experiences together.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared a meal, picked up a paintbrush, and made the day so special. We’re grateful for each and every one of you.

Join us tonight at 360 Cockburn St North, 7pm for our community led recovery group.

Tonight’s topic: Building Self-Esteem.

Building self-esteem is about developing a healthier relationship with yourself, learning to recognize your worth, challenging negative self-talk, and building confidence through small, consistent actions. As we grow in self-awareness and self-acceptance, we begin to see ourselves more clearly and treat ourselves with greater compassion.

It's Zoom night!

The topic for tonight's Recovery & Beyond Zoom meeting is You’re Not Who You Were, And That Matters.

Recovery is about growth, change, and becoming someone new. It’s easy to get stuck identifying with who we used to be, our past behaviors, mistakes, or old versions of ourselves. Tonight we’ll be exploring what it means to evolve, to let go of the past, and to recognize the progress we’ve made, even if it doesn’t always feel like it.

This is a supportive space where you’re welcome to share how you’ve changed, what you’ve left behind, and who you’re becoming in your recovery, or simply listen and connect with others who are on the same journey.

Feel free to share your experiences, reflections, or anything that’s been coming up for you lately. Speaking is optional, so if you're just curious, come take a peek!

Big love in the room last night!

We had the privilege of celebrating 2 years of continuous recovery for one of our regulars. What an incredible milestone.

Two years of showing up
Two years of choosing growth
Two years of pushing through the hard days and staying committed to change

This is what Recovery & Beyond is all about. Real people, real journeys, and real transformation.

Moments like this remind us that long-term recovery is possible. No matter where you’re at in your journey, progress is happening, even when it doesn’t feel like it.

Come be part of something real. Whether you’re just starting out or have years behind you, there’s a place for you here.

Join us tonight at 360 Cockburn St North, 7pm for our community led recovery group.

Tonight’s topic: Black and White Thinking.

Black and white thinking, also known as a thought trap, is the tendency to see things in extremes, all good or all bad, with no in between. These patterns can keep us stuck, but by becoming aware of them, we can begin to challenge them and create more balanced, realistic ways of thinking.

Tonight is also cake night as we celebrate multiple years of successful recovery! Come share in the celebration 🎂

Feel free to discuss the topic presented, or come chat with us about whatever has been on your mind lately. Speaking is optional so if you're just curious, come take a peek!
