Recovery & Beyond Winnipeg

Recovery & Beyond Winnipeg Recovery & Beyond is not-for-profit entity that facilitates a non-professional recovery support group We respect all people and all paths to recovery.

Who we are

Recovery & Beyond is a non-professional recovery support group intended for anyone who is seeking freedom from addiction. Regardless of your history or what brought you here, we welcome you. We welcome those from AA and other 12 step groups to help investigate additional paths to free us from drugs and alcohol. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba; we are not a rehab, but an open forum recove

ry group. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming area for anyone to investigate thoughts, concepts and approaches to recovery. Through mutual sharing and group effort, we wish to find the path that works best for us to free us from our addiction. We believe we hold the power to become the best we can be, but acknowledge we may need help to get there. Sobriety is our ultimate priority and the only requirement to attend our meetings is a desire to free our selves from addiction. We also acknowledge that a life outside of addiction and recovery can be achieved. Each individuals path to get there will be different and we are here to help discover that path.

Join us tonight at 360 Cockburn St North, 7pm for our community led recovery group.

Tonight’s topic: Origin of my addiction.

Addiction often has roots deeper than the substance or behavior itself. For many people, it can be connected to pain, trauma, loneliness, anxiety, coping mechanisms, or unmet emotional needs. Exploring where our addiction began can help us better understand ourselves, break patterns, and move toward healing with greater self-awareness and compassion.

It's Zoom night!

The topic for tonight's Recovery & Beyond Zoom meeting is the things we don’t say out loud.

Sometime, the hardest thoughts and feelings to carry are the ones we keep to ourselves. The fears, shame, loneliness, resentment, guilt, or struggles we hide because we are afraid of being judged, misunderstood, or becoming a burden to others.

Tonigh, we will be exploring the things we often keep beneath the surface, why we keep them there, and what can happen when we finally speak honestly in a safe and supportive space.

This is a place where you are welcome to share openly, reflect quietly, or simply listen and connect with others who understand that not everything is easy to say out loud.

Feel free to share your experiences, thoughts, or anything that has been weighing on you lately. Speaking is optional, so if you are just curious, come take a peek!

Tonight’s topic: The consequences of avoidance.

Avoidance can feel like temporary relief, but over time, it often creates more stress, fear, and disconnection. The things we avoid don’t usually disappear, they tend to grow. Recovery often begins when we face difficult emotions, conversations, and situations instead of running from them.

It's Zoom night!

The topic for tonight's Recovery & Beyond Zoom meeting is who and what is my authentic self.

We often hear about finding our authentic self like it is something pure, polished, or only made up of our best parts. But the reality is that being authentic also means facing the parts of ourselves that are messy, uncomfortable, or hard to accept.

Tonight, we will be exploring what it really means to be authentic in recovery. Not just the growth and progress, but the flaws, triggers, patterns, and emotions that are still part of us. Learning how to acknowledge all of it without shame and still move forward.

This is a supportive space where you are welcome to share what authenticity looks like for you, the parts you embrace, the parts you struggle with, or simply listen and connect with others who understand.

Feel free to share your thoughts, experiences, or anything that has been coming up for you lately. Speaking is optional, so if you are just curious, come take a peek!
