📢 Update time! My summer project, besides completing my Watsu training, is reno-ing a 13 foot 1975 Okanagan camper. Progress is indeed happening, but slowly in this current humidity & heat. I have also decided to update my rates to better reflect the changing economic times and my specialized training. Effective immediately my rates are five dollars more than they have been for the last five years or so. Thanks for understanding!

Thermal springs may not be a natural phenomenon
in Manitoba but there are some amazing spas here, which are excellent for Watsu sessions. If you're interested, arrangements may be made to try a Watsu session at Salka Spa at Hecla Lakeview Resort, Thermëa by Le Nordik in Winnipeg or the Klär Sø Spa at Elkhorn Resort in Riding Mountain (or any other hotel or private pool you know of). You've heard of the "Name that Song" game on the radio? Well this is an offering/challenge I'm calling "Name that Scent"! I made a baker's dozen Epsom bath salts bags and I added a whole bunch of different essential oils but I got a bit carried away and didn't label them! So it's like a surprise grab bag! I know I used these in them: bergamot, basil, sweet orange, lemon, myrtle, eucalyptus, cedar, balsam fir, sweet birch, tea tree, rosemary, cubeb pepper, lavender, and citronella. But you'll have to guess what's in the bag! It's a fundraiser for my upcoming Watsu training trip. By donation, pay what you can, suggested donation, $10. I'll be making magnesium cream again soon too!

Our Story

Kathy Wood, RMT, offers therapeutic and relaxation massage, integrating swedish massage, and other treatment modalities including myofascial release, craniosacral therapy; prenatal and postpartum massage and labour support services. Momentum Massage Therapy was launched in July 2011, to provide nurturing and experienced care, and to meet the needs of all seeking relaxing and therapeutic relief and wellness. Located in Norwood Grove, Winnipeg, close to the corner of St. Mary's Road and Tache Ave, Momentum provides a relaxing and quiet kid-friendly environment for parents to bring their little ones while they let go of some of the stress they carry. We welcome parents to bring their children with them for their treatment and a baby swing, books, toys and colouring supplies are always available to keep them happy. As it is a small clinic, with just one treatment room, you need not be worried that people will be disturbed if your child makes some noise. We can adapt the treatment for the needs of prenatal and nursing moms using pillows and props. Not having babysitting should never be a barrier to receiving much needed massage therapy treatment!
