Here are a few tips recommended on how you can eat to maintain a healthy weight!
-Fruits are a well-deserved addition to your meals. They come in a variety of forms from fresh whole to frozen and canned. Branch out your familiarities, don’t just eat bananas and apples and call that diverse. Just be careful of the added sugar content like syrups in processed or canned fruits.
-Vegetables are not limited to just a few leafy greens and beans you can think of off the top of your head. They can serve as extra toppings or side dishes in your everyday meal. Keep in mind to be wary of the amount of fatty cream and butter included in your veggie dishes.
-Calcium is good for your bones, teeth, and other bodily functions like the muscle and blood system. You can improve your calcium intake by opting for low-fat or fat-free milk as well as eating healthy yogurt instead of other desserts.
-Protein primarily comes from meat, but eating plain ol’ red meat all the time creates a lack of variation which is not healthy in the long run. Diversify your protein sources, try poultry, eggs, soy, beans, and nuts, and experiment with how you cook them!
-But of course, unhealthy foods are nothing if not delicious, and we understand that they are the favorites of many people. We simply suggest you eat them in small amounts - or maybe try to find a lower-calorie version of them if you can.
