POV: You run a business, manage a sports organization, and keep up with the daily adventures of three boys and three dogs. Sound familiar?
Sometimes, the inbox just gets away from you. If you’re staring down thousands of unread emails (like my 5,932!), here is your permission to hit the reset button.
Introducing my favorite quick win: The "Nuclear" Archive Hack 🚀
Let’s be real—you are not going to read 5,932 emails. If it’s older than 14 days and nobody has called or texted you about it, it’s no longer an emergency! But we also don’t want to delete them. You never know when you’ll need to search for a business receipt or an old parent council thread.
Here is how you clear the visual clutter in seconds:
1️⃣ Type is:unread in your Gmail search bar.
2️⃣ Click the "Select All" checkbox at the top left.
3️⃣ A tiny message will appear saying "Select all conversations that match this search." Click that!
4️⃣ Hit the Archive button (the little box with the down arrow).
Boom. Zero inbox. 🎉
They are safely tucked away in your "All Mail" folder if you ever need to search for them, but they aren't staring you in the face. Clearing that digital clutter reduces so much stress and creates the mental space you need to focus—whether that's stepping onto the mats to coach or just enjoying the chaos of family life.
