I know that, as a friendly Manitoban, you may have already offered support to wildfire evacuees from northern communities. Here are a few more ways we can help.

I visited to drop off some donations at the Manitoba Métis Federation Command Centre on McGregor today and asked what they still need. They mentioned a particular need for men’s clothing in sizes large and up, as well as pet supplies like dog food. The drop-off station is located behind the building, so you need to drive to the back lane.

In Five Elements Theory, spring corresponds to the Wood element. Wood embodies growth, expansion, and upward-moving energy. It is associated with the Liver and Gallbladder organs. The element is linked to the color green, the sour taste, and the emotions of anger and frustration. People with a Wood constitution tend to be determined, goal-oriented, and well-organized.

In fact, I am a typical Wood-type person. I love the color green, as well as green foods. My strong upward energy sometimes leads to occasional migraines. I enjoy making to-do lists and feel satisfied checking off each task. However, I can become easily frustrated when things don’t go according to plan. I also have a strong preference for citrusy flavors.

Understanding your patterns can help you create harmony in your life.

I would like to share a piece of one of client's (actually they are a couple) experience at my practice with you. They are kind, considerate, and have a keen interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We often exchange the ideas about how we can improve our lives and lifestyles. They are my awesome role models! I am so grateful that I have a great relationship with them.

Revive Acupuncture

Who doesn’t have shoulder and neck tension? These are common issues for nearly everyone. Our neck and shoulder muscles support a heavy head, which frequently leans forward and looks down—not just from cell phone and computer use, but also due to stress. When we enter a fight-or-flight state, our muscles instinctively tighten into a protective posture. The chest and arms roll inward, while the upper back and shoulder muscles become tense and rigid.

TMJ issues, headaches, migraines, dizziness, and a sensation of heaviness or lightheadedness are often linked to shoulder and neck tension.

Revive Acupuncture was created two years ago to treat this prevalent upper body tension I observed in my practice. This treatment goes beyond symptom relief to address the root causes of tension—such as posture, stress, and work-related strain. Through acupuncture, cupping, and guasha, muscle tightness is released, and the flow of Qi is restored. What sets Revive Acupuncture apart from regular massage is its holistic approach: it not only alleviates physical tension but also treats the root causes for lasting relief.

If you are suffering from chronic shoulder tension and pain, try Revive Acupuncture at flow Pain Solutions.

It's natural to feel nervous or anxious before your first acupuncture appointment. Why? Maybe you have bad memories of getting shots, worry that needles will hurt, or feel skeptical about acupuncture's effectiveness. I get it. Personally, I never feared needles, but I was doubtful about acupuncture’s benefits—until my first treatment with a TCM acupuncturist.

During that session, I received acupuncture on my rock-tight shoulder muscles, with an electro-stimulation device attached to the needles. It turned out to be the most effective treatment I’ve had for my chronic shoulder tension.

My goal is to provide the most suitable treatment for you while ensuring you feel comfortable and free of fear about the needles.

Keys to a Great Acupuncture Experience:

1. Communication is everything. Don't hesitate to ask your acupuncturist any questions or voice concerns.

2. Commitment to the treatment plan matters. Sticking to the plan increases your chances of a successful outcome—though adjustments can always be made as needed.

The therapist’s root-
My grandma: I loved giving her shoulder massage. My tiny hands wanted to help ease her pain since she suffered from epileptic seizures of unknown cause. Yet, I was too little and couldn’t impress her with my grips. Unfortunately, my grandma passed away when I was seven. This was the reason I chose my career and I am grateful for her unconditional love.
Nature and food in Oita shaped my foundation, nurturing body and mind.

Have you considered acupuncture as a way to manage your stress? It can be very effective in delivering deep stress relief by activating the parasympathetic nervous system.

Many clients have shared that they feel significantly more relaxed and calm after their acupuncture treatments.

These are some of the points utilized for reducing stress. There are additional points tailored for various stress triggers. Of course, the trust between you and I is the key to a successful treatment. Your safety is my #1 priority.

Do you know the energy flow in the body is called Qi in Traditional Chinese Medicine? Disturbance of Qi flow may cause us many issues. Stagnant Qi flow will result in tiredness, depressed feeling, and pain. Anger will move Qi flow to the head and cause dizziness. Weak Qi flow will not distribute enough Qi to the hands and feet to warm them up.

Acupuncture treatment helps regulate and harmonize the flow of Qi by choosing the right points selections. Unblock your Qi flow and feel better!

Would you like to see the tools in my toolbox? I’m very picky about what I use in my treatment room—each tool is chosen with care and purpose. Let me introduce you to some of them.

Biotone massage lotion and Nutri-Natural massage oil: All plant-based and hypo-allergic. I have tried a few products and ended up loving the texture of them.

Acufast needles: Less painful since the needles I use are silicon coated. Ten needles are in a packet rather than each needle being individually packed in a plastic packaging.

TDL lamp: A specific electromagnetic lamp which is heated by infrared light and produces therapeutic rays to increase microcirculation.

Arts: They will be changed seasonally to entertain my clients.

My Hands!: My hands are powerful therapeutic tools—attuned with skill, care, and intention to help others heal.
