Microneedling is a non-invasive skin resurfacing treatment that gives your skin effective results.
Microneedling minimizes pore size, tightens, lifts, and reduces the appearance of scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, & fine lines to achieve rejuvenated and smoother skin.
The skin is cleansed and numbing cream is applied to lessen discomfort as an electric skin needling device uses tiny needles (12 to be exact) to create very fine micro-channels in the skin. This stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibers, which naturally enhances the appearance of your skin. These channels also serve to allow better and quicker pe*******on of topical skincare products resulting in receiving maximum product benefits.
The Dermapen Microneedling Pen glides along the skin, penetrating the upper layers of the skin to a depth of up to 0.1mm to 2.5mm to create numerous tiny tunnels. The procedure prompts the body to respond with the creation of New Collagen and Elastin Fibers. In response to the stimulus, the skin Plumps, Thickens and is smoothed reducing the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles.
Most people experience mild redness and/or slight swelling similar to a mild sunburn for 24-48 hours after their Microneedling Treatment.There may be minimal pin-point bleeding and/or bruising that occurs.
Within a week or two, you will notice your skin feeling smoother and more radiant looking.
Microneedling can be safely repeated every 4 to 6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For overall rejuvenation, we recommend starting with 3 treatments with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments.
The number of treatments required will depend on how each individual responds to the treatments, age, the extent of the damage to your skin and your specific treatment goals. This will all be discussed at the initial consultation.
Microneedling can be safely performed on all skin types and all skin colours. As the epidermis and in particular pigment cells called melanocytes in the skin are left intact.
