September is a time of transition, an opportunity to reset our intentions and establish patterns that ground us as we navigate the busyness of life.

☺️Here at The WOMB, we believe that harnessing the power of routine can deeply enhance both well-being and productivity.

What happens during a WOMB Prenatal Yoga class?

❤️Community!
We start each class with a group check in! Some weeks we will be encouraged to share our highs & lows of life and other weeks we’ll keep it light and talk about our fav foods! Having a sense of community can help make pregnancy & the transition into motherhood less overwhelming, especially when we know we aren’t alone in all the feels & shifts!

❤️Breathing
You’ll be encouraged to focus on breathing in such a way that helps support calming the nervous system & creating an anchor for your mind to focus on. Linking breath to movement creates a moving meditation that helps bring your mind & body to a place of easy & comfort. Focused breathing can help you sustain some of the more challenging yoga poses/sequences, building your mental endurance for childbirth!

❤️Mindful stretching.
Exploring where you tend to hold your stress, we’ll work through discomforts, experience how the body holds emotions and move in such a way that will unwind tension in the deep tissues of the body.

Postures.
From standing, lunging, sitting or side lying, develop more understanding of how your changing body moves as it continues to grow life! Moving into different positions aimed at developing/maintain strength, flexibility & balance.

❤️Relaxation.
Ending the class with quiet & calm! Allowing your body & mind to soften. You’ll be encouraged to listen to your breath, notice sensations, thoughts & emotions as well as creating space to connect to your baby.

We are so excited to welcome our lead Registered Massage Therapist Michelle back from maternity leave this September!

Michelle's schedule is now live with appt availability beginning the week of Sept 9th. Be sure to book soon, as her openings are already starting to fill 😊

As a mama of 3, Michelle has developed a deep understanding of the demands pregnancy and the postpartum period has on a woman's body, mind and soul. Finding gratitude in being able to provide compassionate care to other moms & mom's-to-be through massage therapy.

She can't wait to catch up with her existing clients and looks forward to meeting those new to her practice. ❤️

What if we talked more about what a woman’s body is capable of during labour instead of the sensations associated with birth as being “painful” & “scary”?
