Hello friends and customers,

I have not updated this site in a long time. Since Covid we have given up travelling to craft shows but still have our booth at the St Jacobs Market.

Our old mechanical cutting press has broken down last year and no one seems to be able to fix it. So… Ray is back to cutting our products by hand. No arthritis there yet! Thank goodness.

His enthusiasm for creating our products hasn’t waned but less time is spent in the workshop and more in the house with the cat, or, as of yesterday, the cats.

We have become crazy cat people!

Online sales are difficult with so many sized items. Our Shopify site is shut down.

There is no point giving you Ray’s cell number because it doesn’t ring half the time, (or perhaps he doesn’t hear it).

Our dinosaur landline is 519 658-6015. We will answer this phone, once we locate it. Please be patient and let it ring.

Market hours are Thursdays 8 am to 3 pm
Saturdays 7 am to 3:30 pm

Summer hours include Tuesdays from 8 am to 3 pm. This ends at the beginning of September.

This post is to thank our fellow vendors (market family) for their quick action and insistence on getting Ray to the hospital on that Thursday in December when he suffered a heart attack. He is back at the market to greet our valued customers and about to start a year of cardiac rehab. Quick action in recognizing symptoms saved his life.
Please everyone, don’t ignore signs and trust your gut when you are feeling unwell.
We are not finished with him yet.❤️

Wow, I just looked at the date and realized there is only one month until Christmas Day. That means only 9 more market days.

Our booth is stocked with so many high quality Canadian made gifts. There is literally something for everyone.
The market is our only outlet now so loyal customers from our shows can find us upstairs in the main building.

Hello everyone,

Ray is recovering quickly and should be back to market next week. Pat will be welcoming customers on Saturday. Our apologies to anyone who visited on Thursday, a very rare occasion when our booth was closed.

Mother Nature has added her snowy touch to my winter window. Our warm and wooly sheepskin slippers, mitts and hats are perfect for enjoying the outdoors in this weather. Market is open and Ray is waiting to serve you on Thursdays and Saturdays. We also do curbside pickup at our Cambridge workshop. Enjoy the season and remember those daylight hours are getting longer so keep your Sunnyside Up. ⛄️❄️🧤

Thursday will be your last chance folks to snag that special Christmas gift. No supply chain problems, no delivery deadlines, just tired Elf Ray ready to help you shop local and help support Brenda’s elaborate lifestyle. (That was a joke, I have hardly left the house in 2 years). Christmas plans are tentative for so many this year so if you can’t be with the ones you love…love the one you are with, even and especially if that is yourself. ❤️ Stay safe and have a wonderful Christmas.

It is hard to believe but there are only 4 more market days before Christmas. We are open two Saturdays from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm and two Thursdays from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm.
This year has been a challenge to put it mildly but thanks to our loyal customers…WE MADE IT!!!

Wow…time is sure flying by. There are only 13 market days left until Christmas. Our booth is well stocked now but some shortages are being felt by our suppliers which could affect our selection. Ray has donned his elf hat to build up our stock in the workshop. Online orders are also steady but shipping deadlines are fast approaching.
We wish everyone a safe season. Let us all keep our guards up as we work to end this challenge and appreciate the subtle gifts it has afforded us.

We want to thank our loyal customers who are slowly returning to the market and to our booth. It has been a long tough series of lockdowns and limitations but hopefully “normal” is on the horizon. Our booth is well stocked with your favourite goodies. We are both healthy and eager to chat once we return from vacation. Our booth is being run by a very competent colleague for most of the summer. Stop in and say hi and Ray will see you in September. (I think there is a song in there somewhere).

After a long two month shutdown, Ray is excited to be back in our booth tomorrow to greet customers and market friends. The hours are shorter than usual, from 8 am until 2 pm. Stop by and say hello. Don’t be afraid of the usual crowds. There are strict limits on numbers. It is far from usual.
