Pelvic Health Study - NWT and Nunavut

Pelvic Health Study - NWT and Nunavut Hi! I'm Kaeleigh Brown, a pelvic health physiotherapist and researcher from Yellowknife, NT.

I'll be sharing information about pelvic health, and updates about a women's pelvic health research project I'm working on.

It's been a while since the last post - here's a quick one:

Did you know that non-insured health benefits (NIHB) will help pay for pads and briefs for bladder leaks?

See the link below!

The health centre or medical clinic can help with accessing these products.

The following Medical Supplies and Equipment (MS&E) list contains medical surgical items and services eligible under the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program for eligible First Nations and Inuit. Further you'll find information on coverage policies, item codes, requirements for prior approval....

Happy New Year!

To those of you that I haven't met, my name is Kaeleigh Brown. I live in Yellowknife with my partner and daughter. I'm a pelvic health physiotherapist, and also a student researcher. One of the projects I'm working on is about pelvic health conditions (like bladder leaks, pain in the pelvis, prolapse).

I will be travelling to Nunavut this month to host a couple of information nights, and to work on the research project. Keep an eye on this page for updates!

For those that are interested, the Nunavut research license number for the project is 04 003 25R-M, and the NWT license number is 17646.
