Weekly Zoom Yoga Nidra Class

Yoga Nidra provides the opportunity to slow down, experience warmth and comfort while restoring and rejuvenating our body, mind and soul.

This is a non movement based class, suitable for all regardless of experience.

Yoga Nidra is a state of deep physical and mental relaxation with a strong element of awareness. It is a transformative practice that may release tension, promote mindfulness, enable sleep, enhance memory and learning, release unconscious patterns and awaken creativity.

We will begin with some gentle stretches or breathing techniques preparing ourselves for Yoga Nidra . We then take a few moments to find a comfortable supported seated or lying position and simply follow the verbal prompts.

This time of year can be a difficult time for many of us. As the days shorten and winter unleashes its fury, we continue with the busyness and stress that can come with the season. Yoga Nidra is an opportunity to slow down, experience warmth and comfort while restoring and rejuvenating our body, mind and soul.

This is a non movement based class, suitable for all regardless of experience.

YIN YOGA Classes

Sooth and quiet your body and mind with this nourishing practice. Yin yoga places the body in various supported shapes to open the fascial and energetic planes of the body while experiencing an inward exploration of the various realms of ourselves. Yin yoga is suitable for all ages, abilities and bodies. Cushions, blankets, pillows or yoga props are used to support the body in comfortable positions, thus creating deep relaxation and rejuvenation.

Thursday Evenings 7:30 - 8:45 pm

$90 for entire session (7 classes)

The Bliss of the Breath

Mini workshop on Zoom

Breathwork, known as pranayama, is one of the 8 limbs of classical yoga practice. In learning to control our breath, we have the ability to settle our mind and create a sense of peace and contentment. As we slow down and become more present, we begin to develop insights and clarity to assist in managing our daily challenges and emotions. Pranayama creates positive benefits in our physiology including modulating our immune, nervous and hormonal systems. It aids in our healing and restoring balance and homeostasis to our body. Our breath is the connection between body and mind. It is truly inspiring to observe the impact a consistent breath practice can have on our lives. In these sessions we will begin with a short discussion of pranayama, followed by some simple breath practices, ending with a nourishing yoga nidra.

Monday January 22th and February 12th
8:00 - 9:30 pm
$15 for 1 session, $25 for both
