Struggling to fall asleep or stay asleep?
Reflexology offers a gentle, supportive way to encourage deep relaxation and support your natural sleep–wake rhythm.
During a foot zoning (reflexology) session, the entire body is addressed through specific reflex points on the feet. If sleep is a concern, extra attention can be given to reflex areas associated with the nervous system, endocrine system, and stress regulation.
The reflex area corresponding to the pineal gland is located on the top, inner aspect of the big toe. The pineal gland plays an important role in regulating circadian rhythms and melatonin production. Gentle, intentional pressure is applied to this reflex to help the body’s natural sleep processes by calming the nervous system and promote a state of relaxation.
Reflexology does not force the body to sleep, but rather supports the body’s own ability to reset, unwind, and move toward balance, which can make falling and staying asleep feel easier.
