In the world we built for robots
How much of our self’s have we left behind to fit in to a world that we built for robots.
Every email and every text feels like someone is sitting on my chest.
The phone call that comes in the middle of the night, the sleep that we never truly get to have. Rest and digest is a thing of the past because very message comes in with a sense of urgency, needing to be dealt with immediately because if you don’t someone might get mad, something might slip your grasp or they might take something from you that is important for you to have.
A missed payment, a charge to your card you didn’t see coming and Empathy is no where near. We struggle to keep up with the next best thing, the next new phone, the next new gaming station or the next new up grade to a system that is constantly changing and keeping us on our toes.
You learn one thing and then another and then another and then you miss one step and you fall behind by three or more because we are no longer are aloud to have a brake, no longer aloud to let our brains turn off and rest.
Just stress, trauma, and a need for validation that we will never get because everyone is to busy living inside their head.
When do we get to be human, to feel our emotions with out judgement from our self’s and others, to be able to lay on the couch and nap without being called lazy.
Mental illness, Chronic psychical illness, cancer, trauma, are all on the rise but soo far there is nothing being done to solve the problem on a wide scale.
Information is not being shared, the proper medical care is being withheld or costs to much for the average person to be able to afford it.
We are handing our struggles down to our kids with an even poorer out look on life and feeling of community.
Community is now an isolating word …. In-person aspect as been taken away and replaced by zoom, FaceTime, and discord. There is no “person” or “face to face”. We can hide in our homes and still feel connected without feeling true connection.
My hope is that I can make a dent with the information that I know and the training that I have, to help people come back down to the world and feel a little bit better. To be able to help people understand where things went wrong and that we have to power to take back control of our life’s with boundaries, self compassion, and annualizing our pasts to better our future.
It is ok to say no to something when you feel like your plate is to full, it is ok to rest when you are tired and it is ok to not be ok. We are not robots, we need to rest, we have emotions, we have physical and mental needs that are no longer being met because of a world that is moving to fast for a human to keep up.
I have soo much more but I am going to leave this here for now.
Remember “ We tend to chose our familiar hell over our unfamiliar heaven”
