Many said “Love is blind.” But I believe that for true love to happen you must be able to see and know the truth. If love is to be true and meaningful, it can not exist in ignorance or deception - it must be rooted in the truth.
Truth shows the object of love , allowing you to see clearly the beauty, the flaws, the depth. Without truth, love risks becoming shallow, misdirected, or even harmful. For instance loving someone blindly inspite of the fact you know that it is wrong, it is destined to crumble when reality surfaces.
Love that is not anchored in truth is incomplete and misguided. To love rightly, we must pursue and embrace the truth and always seek the good for those that we love. Otherwise we might mistake lust for love which will cause us to regret.
Jesus said “ I am the way, the truth, and the life “ , a love that is not anchored in Jesus can not flourish in its purest and most enduring form.
