I have to ask: What is your actual relationship with this earth, this big beautiful body that you wake up on, day to day?
How often do you take off your shoes and plant your feet on the ground, just cause?
When was the last time you leaned in to smell a flower, to really smell it; inhaling, exhaling, inhaling, exhaling its scent, just cause?
Have you ever paused and gave yourself over to the wind and its wild caresses, as it hungrily swept over your face, just cause?

As I sit here in my bathtub, pondering my relationship with the earth body, I realize that my connection, attitude and care for it is not that different from the relationship with my own body. It too fluctuates in moods and erupts in anxieties. It too feels vulnerable to neglect and experiences hunger for touch. And when I take the time to nourish this body, it reciprocates in ease of movement and expansion in spirit. Loving my body means trusting its process to heal and balance my physical, mental and emotional selfs.
Deepening this relationship with self in turn allows me to connect with the bigger body, the earth from an empowered and an unarmored place.

Couroupita Guianensis?
These lush fallen beauties caught my eye walking through the graffiti lined streets in Wynwood Art District of Miami.
My eye instinctively drawn to its soft palette of muted pink, orange, and purple.
I found a still beauty and a subtle fragrance emitting from the blooms as they transition from life to death.
Are these the flowers of Cannon Ball tree, does anyone know?
