We are excited to announce that Dr. Saggese received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on January 4, 2021! He had zero symptoms and feels honored to be included in the early rounds of vaccinations. As of now the vaccine is available to healthcare providers and their staff, as well as those living in long-term care community settings. Starting Monday January 11th those over 75 and other essential workers will be able to schedule appointments in NYS. We hope this post finds you all well and we look forward to a safer and healthier 2021!

Sealants may be just as indicated in adults as children studies show! A sealant protects the teeth, typically back molars, from getting cavities by filling in the deep grooves that are at most risk of decaying. Patients have been enthusiastic about getting them recently as the paradigm shift from reactionary measures like fillings have switched to proactive preventive approaches like sealants among other techniques. We are very excited to announce that as of Monday June 1, 2020 Governor Cuomo has determined that dental practices statewide can reopen for all services! We are looking forward to seeing all of you again!

Starting Tuesday June 2nd Dr. Saggese will be available for both emergency and non-emergency procedures. Starting Thursday June 4th Judy will be available for dental hygiene appointments. Please be patient with our new scheduling process as we will continue to have a reduced number of appointments available each day to ensure for proper social distancing in the office.

All patients will be screened for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 when they arrive at the office and your temperature will be taken with a non-contact thermometer. If you fail the screening your appointment will need to be rescheduled for a later date based on recommendations from the CDC. If you are not feeling well please call ahead of time and reschedule your appointment. All patients are required to wear a mask into and out of the office. Please do not bring someone with you to the office unless absolutely necessary (minors or patients requiring assistance). If you do need to bring someone with you to your appointment they will be subject to the same screening process.

All counters and frequently touched surfaces are being disinfected regularly. We have added medical-grade HEPA air filters to the waiting room and in each exam room. These machines filter the air in the room 4x an hour. As always, our treatment rooms are thoroughly disinfected after each procedure. In addition, we will be leaving a minimum of 15 minutes between usage of an exam lane prior to disinfecting to ensure ample time for any airborne particles to settle onto a surface.

Our staff members are wearing enhanced PPE (personal protective equipment) per CDC guidelines.
