Ever feel like you're running on autopilot?

Our mind is a pattern-seeking machine. Think about driving a car

You can be deep in conversation, but your unconscious mind—your 'script'—is handling the gears, the steering, and the awareness of the road.

It's an automatic program.

We have these scripts for everything: going to work, cooking, our daily routines.

They help us function.

gut feeling is rarely wrong.

You can not have a thought with out giving off a physical response .

When we don't have these things in a good place, we literally leak that things are not in alignment or out of sorts, and people will be able to pick up on that.

Novelty creates focus. Let's break down the off-camera habits that matter-

E.T.A.S.F

👉 E - Environment: Is it clean, tidy, organised?

👉 T - Time: Manage your time. The more confident you are and can be.

👉 A - Appearance: Resemblance to an authority figure in your tribe, area. How you are off camera. How well do you look after your appearance.

👉 S - Social: You are a sum of or % of the five people you are around.
What we watch, who we watch, and who we hang out with.
Can you socialise, make small talk, inspire someone.

👉 F - Financial: Being able to handle financial problems, the less they leak out in non-verbal communication.
It all adds up.

Unlock your hidden potential with this simple peripheral vision exercise!

Ever feel like you're missing what's happening around you?

This technique, also known as "soft eyes," can help you expand your awareness and notice things you might otherwise overlook.

What is it?
"Soft eyes" is about relaxing your focused gaze and allowing yourself to take in your entire field of vision.

Instead of concentrating on a single point, you absorb the whole scene at once.

How to practice:
A great way to train this is by using mirrors. BUT, and this is crucial, NEVER do this while driving.
• Find a safe space: Sit in a parked car, at your desk, or even on your sofa.
• Pick a central point: Look straight ahead at a fixed spot.
• Use your mirrors: Without moving your eyes from the central spot, use your peripheral vision to notice what's visible in your central rearview mirror and your two side mirrors.
• Expand your awareness: Try to be aware of all three reflections simultaneously. This helps to stretch and engage your peripheral vision.

You can also practice this anywhere you are – in a restaurant, at home, or in the office. Just pick a spot in front of you and, while softly gazing at it, pay attention to what you can see at the edges of your vision.

Decoding Body Language-Are They Open to Your Influence?

Ever wonder what someone is really thinking when you're speaking to them?

As a persuasion person, my job is to get them to open those physical barriers.

It all comes down to their behavior are they opened or closed?

Comfortable and confident, or insecure?
Here’s what I look for when looking and speaking to people-

1. Exposed Arteries (Neck Up): Are their arteries being exposed? This is a sign of comfort. Think about it-
• Using open gestures.
• Legs open, a relaxed European leg cross, or even the figure-four cross (F4) which exposes more arteries.

2. Barriers- Are there barriers between me and them?
This could be anything from a crossed arm to a coffee cup.
When they cross the midline of their body, it's considered a barrier. My goal is to get them to lower these.

3. Profiling for Openness: When I'm just profiling, I’m looking for-
• Exposed arteries.
• Limited or zero barriers.
• A low blink rate/low shutter speed. A slow blink rate often signals comfort and focus.
• Following behaviors. When I nod, they nod. This mirroring is a great sign of rapport.

Detecting Change is Key.

I will always look at these three things when talking to somebody. I also pay attention to which way their body is pointing and if they are going over the midline.

I'm in the business of detecting change.

A key indicator?
Blink rate.

Is it slow, in the middle, or fast?

In conversation, is it increasing or decreasing?
This shift tells a story.

Every single day, I commit to these three things to keep me on track.

I give myself a score of 1-10 at the end of the day. (1 being poor, 10 being excellent!)

Development Triangle.

This isn't just theory; it's the building block of our personalities and influences us well into adulthood.

At its core, we are programmed to seek safety – emotional safety, physical safety, and even safety in our routines.

Think about it: As social beings, we're also on a constant quest for connection with others. As children, we sought to gain trust and acceptance within social groups.

This drive to fit in and be seen doesn't disappear; you'll see these same patterns in adult behaviors, from our networks to our social media habits.

Then there are Rewards.

These are different for everyone, but they form a crucial feedback loop: an action followed by some kind of gratification.

Rewards motivate who we are, shape our ambitions, and drive our adult behaviors.
Once you understand this powerful Triangle of Safety, Friendship, and Rewards, it gives you an incredible lens to view adult behavior.

It's not about predicting actions perfectly, but about recognizing patterns.

When you understand where a child is on this Triangle, you can start to predict their future actions and behaviors.

This is one of the most reliable insights you can gain!

Recognizing these patterns helps us understand people's past, their fears, and their desires, ultimately giving us a deeper insight into their future.

Understanding where you were in this triangle as a child in social settings can help you see the underlying reasons and functions behind people's behaviors.

• Pity - being disregarded, ignored, misunderstood, people in disbelief
