✨ The Closing Ceremony – A Meaningful Conclusion to an Exceptional Meeting

We began by revisiting the highlights of the past days. This was followed by the Best Abstract Awards, recognising outstanding contributions to PGHAN science.

We were also delighted to hear from Prof. Frédéric Gottrand, who extended a warm invitation to join us next year in Lille, France for .

In a symbolic and heartfelt moment, Prof. Ulrich Baumann passed the presidential role to Prof. Annamaria Staiano, marking a new chapter in the ESPGHAN journey.

🎬 Day 3 of brought another wave of energy and learning!

We kicked off at sunrise with the Run with the Council, uniting delegates for movement, community, and a cause. The momentum continued with a compelling Keynote Lecture in Gastroenterology, standout joint sessions, and inspiring e-poster presentations.

The Endoscopy, Motility, and Intestinal Ultrasound Learning Zones buzzed with activity once again, giving participants a hands-on experience they won’t forget.

As we wrap up an inspiring Day 3, one question remains:

🎥 That’s a wrap on Day 2 of !

We began with a warm welcome at the Opening Ceremony, followed by a compelling state-of-the-art lecture from Kirsi Pietiläinen on the future of obesity treatment. The energy continued with rapid-fire e-poster presentations and hands-on learning across the Endoscopy, Motility, and Intestinal Ultrasound Learning Zones.

A huge thank you to everyone who made today so engaging and inspiring.

✨ What a way to officially open !
Today’s Opening Ceremony captured the spirit of our community – science, collaboration, and inspiration.
Local Host Chair Kaija-Leena Kolho welcomed everyone to Helsinki, followed by a string quartet and an uplifting dance performance by .

ESPGHAN President Ulrich Baumann shared exciting highlights of this year’s meeting, while President-elect Annamaria Staiano invited us all to lace up for the Run with the Council.

To close the ceremony, Kirsi Pietiläinen delivered a thought-provoking State-of-the-Art Lecture on obesity treatment in the 21st century, blending science and compassion.
