Lifespan and healthspan come down to largely two biological systems in the body. Any guesses?

Your mitochondria emit light.

Soak that in ✨ Your cells literally emit light—and by default, you’re also made of light.
Let’s illuminate the science.
Your trillions of mitochondria release nano-flashes called “bio-photons,” as signals from cell to cell, helping your whole body communicate.
At the same time, your mitochondria convert energy at a microscopic level to power everything from daily energy to your immune defenses. The healthier your metabolism, the stronger your cellular light beams.
According to Thomas DeLauer, a health educator and longevity coach:
“We are just now beginning to understand that the mitochondria are more than just an energy factory, and we’re starting to learn that they might just be the hallmark of everything in our body.”

Tag a friend who needs to know they’re literally glowing right now.

Can Mitopure® power an aging immune system for longevity?

Dr. Anurag, Timeline’s Chief Medical Officer, breaks down our new study—where 50 middle-aged adults took 1000 mg of Urolithin A, or a placebo, every day for 28 days.

Find out how stronger immune resilience could be the secret to healthier aging.

When you go to sleep matters more than how long you sleep.

If you’re getting 8 hours of sleep, but your bedtime is inconsistent and skews late, you could be missing your body’s prime window for deep repair—especially between 10pm and 2am, when growth hormones surge and the brain clears toxins.

That’s because your body runs on a circadian rhythm (a 24-hour internal clock that regulates everything from hormone release to brain detox).

Research shows that late sleepers face higher risks of inflammation, insulin resistance and hypertension, even when they sleep a healthy number of hours.

🤔 How does this impact longevity? Over time, circadian misalignment can accelerate biological aging and disrupt cellular repair. When your sleep timing syncs with your body’s clock, you protect the very systems that keep you younger—for longer.

Don’t sleep on that.

Growing old vs. growing seriously ill. Knowing the difference is the key to longevity 🔑

Maria Branyas may have won the “genetics lottery,” but that’s only half the story.

The rest is epigenetics—how lifestyle and environment can switch genes on or off without changing your DNA.

Swipe right to unpack how Maria Branyas Morera (the oldest human to ever be studied for the hallmarks of aging) lived to 117 years old with a biological age that was 23 younger than her actual age.

Spoiler: Her mitochondrial health had a lot to do with it.

Cue the Walking Dead theme music: zombie cells may be standing between you and healthy aging.

Like the zombies we see on screens, zombie cells are “undead cells” that wreak havoc on the body, releasing molecules that may trigger inflammation associated with aging.

According to the National Institute on Aging, our ability to remove zombie cells declines with age—partly because mitochondrial function also drops—which can speed up aging when too many of these cells accumulate.

Fortunately, there are ways to get rid of zombie cells naturally:

✨Fasting: Intermittent fasting activates cellular cleanup pathways that slow aging and trigger autophagy—the body’s way of clearing damaged cells. Research suggests 24 hours to start.

✨Exercise: A 12-week exercise program reduced cellular aging markers in older adults by enhancing autophagy and reducing inflammation.

✨Urolithin A: Produced in the gut after eating polyphenol-rich foods like pomegranates, berries and nuts, this compound shows promise in preclinical studies for counteracting cellular aging.

The oldest villains known to humans don’t have fangs or claws.

They’re zombie cells (aka cells that stop dividing).

Metabolically active but dysfunctional, they spew chronic inflammation, drive tissue decay and fuel age-related disease.
