Creator of body psychotherapy Alexander Lowen was convinced that to live a balanced life and enjoy good health we need to feel and express our whole range of emotions, anger included.

Since anger is regarded a bad emotion, many of us learn to hide it early on. We’re told to control or manage our temper.

But there are many shades of anger and many ways to let it go.

Somatic exercises teach us to recognize how we suppress our anger (think - grinding your teeth in your sleep). Through grounding practices and opening up to shout, stomp and kick, we learn how to express the anger in a safe way.

So many people don't realize they are chronically stressed.

They wonder why their immune system is not working properly, and they start getting colds once a month.

They complain about being constantly tired but fail to notice that it's not from too much work—it's from poor quality sleep.

They overeat, soothe themselves with yet another glass of wine, and still don't connect the dots.

Stress is not all in your head. It physically shows up in your body, making you feel weak, prone to illness, and tense.

Somatic exercises help you catch the symptoms of extra stress early. When you notice those signs, you can take action to reduce stress through simple exercises.

Try them if you don't have the patience or time for daily meditation (although that's a great solution too!)

Somatic practice is designed to be applied in real life, even during a work break.

Get out of your head and feel better in your body! Learn how to regulate your emotions with somatic exercises. Next edition of intro workshops coming up in September. Workshops will be held separately in English, German, and Polish.

Somatic (bioenergetic) exercises were developed by renowned psychiatrist Alexander Lowen, pioneer of body psychotherapy. What you learn in this basic workshop will be your toolbox for when you feel stressed out, can't sleep or spiral into overthinking.
