✨ The Therapeutic Effect of Yellow ✨
Colors have always guided me.
As a deeply visual person, I’ve long felt their emotional pull—rearranging, repainting, and recreating my spaces to match the shifting seasons inside me.
As a child, I was constantly moving things around in my room, choosing colors that reflected my inner world.
Looking back, each hue marked a chapter. Even then, I was speaking through color—before I had words for it.
Now I live in a mostly white, minimal home. It’s bright and practical, perfect for a family of four. But deep down, I miss the vibrancy. I dream of painting every wall in colors that match the rhythm of our lives.
Until then—I paint on canvas.
Lately, I’ve been exploring the therapeutic power of color more intentionally. I used to be skeptical. I even shared a post about chakras and color a few years ago, but I hadn’t yet done the inner work. Now, things are shifting.
One color that has taken on new meaning for me is yellow. 🌞
Yellow is the color of the solar plexus chakra—our center of confidence, clarity, and inner strength. It’s connected to the gut, often called our second brain, where we digest not just food, but emotions and stress.
My husband has been navigating gut issues, and it made me wonder: what if energy gets stuck? What if color can help it flow again?
So I painted a canvas in layered yellows—a warm, glowing piece infused with the intention to heal, energize, and uplift. It now hangs in our home.
And something shifted.
Subtle, maybe. But real.
Yellow feels like a quiet invitation to step into power.
To digest, to decide, to move forward with courage and clarity.
There’s still so much we don’t know about the link between color, emotion, and health—but I believe in it.
Because I’ve lived it.
Art is my medicine.
My way of caring—for myself, and the people I love.
Stay creative!
