Why a Toothache Can Feel Almost Unbearable

There’s a simple anatomical reason for it: every tooth is a living structure.
At the center lies the dental pulp, containing nerves and blood vessels, all enclosed beneath hard layers of dentin and enamel. When decay, a crack, or an infection reaches that inner core, the nerve gets trapped inside a rigid space with zero room to expand.

As inflammation builds, the pressure inside the tooth rises and squeezes the nerve fibers, triggering sharp, persistent pain that can radiate into the jaw, ear, or even the head.
This is why regular painkillers often fail to provide full relief — the source of the problem isn’t on the surface, it’s deep inside the tooth.

And it’s not only cavities that can set this off. A dental abscess, nerve exposure from wear, or inflammation in the tissues around the root can lead to the same severe pain response.
The mouth has limited ways to signal trouble, and pain is its most direct warning.

That’s why a toothache should never be ignored. The more treatment is delayed, the deeper an infection can spread, even allowing bacteria to enter the bloodstream in some cases.
So the next time a tooth starts hurting, don’t rely on painkillers to mask it.
Your body is sending a message
and your teeth need attention before the situation worsens.

You Brush Every Day, Yet Your Teeth Still Appear Yellow? Let’s Talk.

It might surprise you that you can have yellow teeth even when you brush twice a day.

Here’s the truth that most people don't know:

1. Brushing alone doesn’t guarantee white teeth.
The truth is plaque and stains build up over time on your teeth.

Brushing helps to remove this stains, but it can’t remove deep stains caused by smoking, coffee, etc.

2. Brushing technique matters more than frequency.
Brushing fast and hard doesn’t make your teeth cleaner, it actually scrapes your enamel and exposes the yellow dentin beneath.

It’s not about how many times you brush, it’s about how well you do it.

3. Water Is Your Secret Weapon
Rinsing after meals helps wash away food particles before bacteria react with them and cause damage.
Many people skip this simple step and wonder why stains stay.

4. Professional Cleaning Is a Game Changer

A professional cleaning every 6 months restores your teeth’s true color, not bleach white, but healthy white.

Let’s be honest, most of us think brushing alone is the hero.

But oral health is teamwork of
📌Brushing
📌 Flossing
📌 Hydration
📌Dental Visit

So next time you see that yellow tint in the mirror, don’t panic.

You’re not dirty, your teeth just need more love and less rush.

You know I tell you the truth, sometimes yellow teeth is not because of stains from smoking, coffee, etc which are caused by external factors.

But sometimes, your yellow teeth is caused by intrinsic stain like drugs, dental wahala like fluorosis, etc. This intrinsic stain is not caused by external factors like your lifestyle or food that you took. And dental cleaning cannot remove this kind of stain.

So back to what we were saying earlier on.

Do you brush fast or slow?

Bell’s Palsy is a condition that causes sudden weakness or paralysis on one side of the face. It happens when the facial nerve (which controls your facial muscles) becomes swollen or damaged.

đŸ”” Etiology:

The exact cause isn’t always known. But it’s often linked to viral infections like:

âžĄïžHerpes simplex (cold sores)
âžĄïžFlu
âžĄïžRespiratory infections

đŸ”” Symptoms:

âžĄïžDrooping on one side of the face
âžĄïžCan’t close one eye
âžĄïžLoss of facial expression
âžĄïžDrooling
âžĄïžTrouble tasting
âžĄïžPain or discomfort behind the ear or jaw

Usually it is not permanent. Most people start to get better in a few weeks, and many fully recover within 3 to 6 months.

đŸ”” Treatment:

âžĄïžSteroids (like prednisone) help reduce swelling
âžĄïžSometimes antiviral drugs are used
âžĄïžEye care is important to protect the eye that can’t close
âžĄïžPhysical therapy may help if recovery is slow

Bell’s Palsy can affect anyone, but it’s more common in:

âžĄïžPeople with diabetes
âžĄïžPregnant women
âžĄïžThose with upper respiratory infections

13/05/2025

Impacted wisdom teeth are often dismissed as harmless if they don’t cause pain. But research shows that over 70% of impacted third molars are asymptomatic, meaning they cause no immediate signs of discomfort—yet they can be silently destructive beneath the surface.

When a wisdom tooth is impacted, especially if it's mesially angulated (tilted forward), it frequently presses against the adjacent second molar. This hidden pressure can lead to:

âžĄïžDeep decay between the teeth that brushing and flossing can't reach

âžĄïžBone loss around the second molar

âžĄïžFormation of fluid-filled cysts that may damage surrounding bone and nerves

âžĄïžGum inflammation or infection even without visible swelling

Most patients remain unaware until the damage is advanced—by then, both the wisdom tooth and its neighbor might require extraction.

Early diagnosis through dental X-rays and proactive removal of impacted molars can prevent these complications and protect long-term oral health. It’s not about removing teeth—it’s about preserving the ones that matter.

Don’t wait for pain to be your first symptom.
Wisdom teeth don’t always hurt—until they’ve already done the damage.

The bitter truth is some people don't know they have mouth odour.

They have gotten used to their breath that they don't know their breath stinks.

See, you see your last set of teeth (molars). Pay attention to them when brushing your teeth. They are the teeth that people don't see and they are the teeth that are mostly neglected when brushing because they are at the back.

These set of teeth are the ones that can cause your bad breath because you neglect them when brushing.

This set of teeth are complex. They have pits, grooves, cusps, etc. Their morphology is different from your anterior teeth (incisors and canine). Special attention needs to be paid to them when brushing.

Electronic toothbrush does wonders in brushing them because it rotates, touching the pits, grooves, and brushes out any dirt hidden there.

Since majority of people here uses a local toothbrush. Please concentrate on the occlusal surface (chewing surface) of this set of teeth. Brush them, clean them, pay attention to them.

If they are neglected, some bacteria in the mouth can react with the debris and form plaque there. If the plaque is not brushed off, it will form tartar (those yellow, brown or black substances or accumulations) on your teeth. These substances in turn stick to your teeth and gradually react with your enamel, gradually wearing the enamel away ~tooth decay.

Brush your back teeth properly.

Brush your teeth atleast twice a day.

Brush your teeth after eating your dinner to remove every debris on the teeth.

Brush your teeth to stay strong.

Brush your teeth to prevent mouth odor.
