🌍✨ HOPE in Kake II Bokoko! ✨🌍
A few weeks ago, we launched the H.O.P.E Project which aims at reaching out to hard-to-reach communities with free health services.
From Sunday 10th – Monday 11th August 2025, our team (made up of medical doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists, midwives, pharmacists, etc) carried out a TWO -DAY FREE medical outreach in Kake II Bokoko, one of the many villages deeply affected by the ongoing crisis in the Southwest and Northwest regions.
Despite poor weather conditions, rough road networks, insecurity concerns, and limited resources, our passion to bring health and hope to underserved communities pushed us forward. 💪🏾❤️
🔹 Highlights of the Outreach:
• 📋 Free medical consultations and health screenings to more than 60 people (children, youths, adults and elderly) who came in various batches.
• 💊 Distribution of essential drugs and health supplies
• 🩸 Basic laboratory tests (malaria, typhoid, blood pressure, glucose checks, sexually transmitted infection tests, etc)
• 👩🏽⚕️ Health education sessions on hygiene, nutrition, preventive care, communication and non communicable diseases etc,.
• 👶🏾 Care for children and the elderly who are most vulnerable. 🚑 Referral of serious and complicated cases to the hospital in the nearby town - Kumba, for better management. 🎁 We handed gifts to the attendees: sanitary pads for young girls, insecticide treated mosquito nets, dresses, shoes etc.
🌟 Community Response:
The turnout was overwhelming. Many villagers, some walking long distances under the rain, came with hope in their eyes. Patients expressed deep gratitude for the care and relief they received, with some describing the outreach as “a divine visitation” in a time of hardship. For many, this was the first time in months—if not years—that they had access to professional healthcare services.
This mission reminded us that even in the hardest times, love and service can break through barriers. 💚
🙏🏾 We are thankful to our volunteers, partners, and the resilient people of Kake II Bokoko for making this possible.
📣 We respectively call on goodwills to help us extend our reach to more communities and in better ways - with medical supplies, financial supports, and other donations to help us ease our reach to these communities. We are already planning for the next community.
