Celebrating World Breast Feeding Week at the Far North Region
The Margaret Asah Initiative and SAFE HANDS Association reached out to less privileged women in the Far North Region of Cameroon with essential free emergency delivery kits, Breastfeeding education, educational materials, and food items. These women, often vulnerable when left with nothing, were supported to ease their struggles and restore hope. Our commitment remains to stand with women in need, reduce hardship, and promote dignity through compassion and action.

Empowering Women Through Skills
At our head office in , the Asah Initiative, in collaboration with Hands Association, empowered internally displaced women with income‑generating skills in detergent production. Each beneficiary received #500 cubes of soap as startup capital to support their families, reduce poverty, and overcome frustration. Alongside this, we provided health education, ensuring women are equipped not only with economic opportunities but also with knowledge to safeguard their wellbeing and build resilient communities.

To strengthen their capacity, we donated hospital equipment, medications, delivery kits, and other essential items. World Breast Cancer Awareness Month
During World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Asah Initiative and SAFE HANDS Association, in partnership with A Happy Home Foundation, reached out to various schools in Mutengene, Limbe, and Tiko to educate young girls on the importance of early detection. We emphasized self‑breast examination as a vital practice and discussed lifestyle factors that reduce risks. The sessions empowered students with knowledge, confidence, and preventive health habits. On World Menopause Day, the Margaret Asah Initiative and Safe Hands Association came together to honor and support elderly women (age 50+) at Upper Towe village southwest region of Cameroon where we encouraged healthy lifestyle choices through interactive sessions on nutrition, exercise, and mental well-being.

Our team donated free medications and supplements to help the women to manage menopause symptoms and promote overall health.

The Margaret Asah Initiative in collaboration with the SAFE HANDS Association, carried out a health education activity on birth defects and cervical cancer at the Bali Nyonga Cultural ASSOCIATION in Limbe, emphasizing the importance of prevention and early detection. A key highlight was sensitizing parents and young girls about the vaccine, which protects against girls cervical cancer. Community members were encouraged to support vaccination programs and regular health check-ups, ensuring healthier futures for women and children.

Diabetes Screening Program – Upper Towe, Southwest Cameroon
the Margaret Asah Initiative, in partnership with SAFE HANDS Association, successfully carried out a FREE diabetes screening program at Upper Towe, Southwest Region of Cameroon.

Through collaboration with Health Clinic Foundation, the program provided:

Free blood sugar testing

Blood pressure, weight, and BMI checks

Health education sessions on diabetes prevention and management

Free medication for patients already diagnosed with diabetes

This initiative reached the inhabitants of this community with essential services, raising awareness on -communicable diseases and empowering community members to take proactive steps toward better .
