We are pleased to share with you some pictures of the CECANAPROF first workshop on Spectroscopic Techniques and their Applications in the Structural Determination of Natural Products of Microbial Origin.
The workshop took place from 21st to 24th May, 2024 at the Higher Teachers Training College of Yaounde and welcomed fifteen participants from five State Universities

On April 24, 2024 Prof Muhittin Kulak and Prof. Ibrahim Dermitas from the University of Igdir, Turkey gave presentations at Department of Chemistry, ENS-UY1. Their presentations were focused on:
1. The role of secondary metabolites in response to abiotic stress conditions.
2. A recent and powerful approach in literature research: Bibliometric analysis
3. New Approaches In Plant Extraction Methods

It's a pleasure to announce that the 2024 sessions of The joint YaBiNaPa-CECANAPROF seminars will begin on Wednesday April 03, 2024 at 1.00 pm at the HTTC of the University of Yaoundé 1.
During this first seminar, Mr. Moussa Abba, Mrs. Koudjou Liza and Mr. Melogmo Yanick will present their research work.

We are pleased to welcome Mrs BELLA Pierre Carole at the CECANAPROF. Mrs BELLA is a PhD student from the University of Maroua working under the supervision of Prof. MELI LANANG Alain and Prof. KOUAM FOGUE Siméon.
Having noticed the limits of exploiting plants in order to preserve nature, she decided to undertake a new alternative for producing bioactive secondary metabolites which is the cultivation of fungi.
Her research work is based on the search of antimicrobial and cytotoxic secondary metabolites from selected coprophilous fungi.
