International Day to End Obstetric Fistula – May 23rd

On this International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, the Cameroon Society of Urology (SCUR) joins voices around the world to reaffirm our commitment to restoring dignity, hope, and health for the many women silently suffering from this preventable condition.

To the population:
Obstetric fistula is not just a medical issue—it is a matter of human rights and equity. Every woman and girl has the right to safe childbirth and access to timely surgical care. Let us raise awareness, support affected women, and break the stigma surrounding fistula. Together, we can create a society where no woman is left behind.

To health professionals:
We call on all colleagues to strengthen early detection, promote preventive obstetric care, and advocate for specialized urological and surgical interventions. Training, collaboration, and empathy are crucial tools in this fight. Together, let us continue to restore function, empower women, and promote safe motherhood.

👉 Obstetric fistula can be treated. It must be prevented. Let’s act together.

ANDROLOGY WORKSHOP

Join the international workshop 'Andrology Pe**le Prosthesis Placement' this is to develop training and skills for pe**le prosthesis implantation.

A pe**le implant or pe**le prosthesis is a medical device designed to help gain and maintain an er****on.

As one patient described pe**le protheses: "The control and quality that you want, the pleasure your partner will appreciate! I feel like myself again!"

Pe**le implant surgery is designed to provide an immersive, practical learning experience for novice implanters.

Our trainers will use a mixture of didactic presentation and Live surgery, and include but not limited to:

➖Tips and Tricks of surgery,
➖Patient counselling,
➖ Managing expectations of patients
➖Anatomy of the various surgical approaches
➖Prevention and management of complications

What you will learn

➖Counsel patients on the expected results of surgery, the potential complications and device survival and durability
➖Proactively manage the surgical procedure to minimize complications
➖Make a management plan for men presenting with severe erectile dysfunction
➖Counsel patients on the risks and benefits of pe**le prosthesis implantation

LITHIASE URINAIRE 💎💎💎💎💎

La lithiase est le processus de création de dépôts solides, couramment appelés calculs, au sein de divers organes du corps, principalement dans les voies urinaires ou biliaires. Ces calculs peuvent se former à partir de composants naturellement présents dans les fluides corporels, tels que les sels minéraux et les acides.

La lithiase urinaire concerne principalement la formation de calculs dans les reins, l'uretère ou la vessie. Ils sont aussi appelés calculs rénaux ou lithiases rénales, ils peuvent causer des douleurs intenses, des infections et d'autres complications.

La prise en charge de la lithiase rénale suit généralement plusieurs étapes générales, de la phase de diagnostic au suivi après le traitement .

Au cours de cette atelier nous bénéficions de :

-Expertise médicale: une équipe médicale hautement spécialisée dans le traitement des calculs rénaux, comprenant des urologues, des néphrologues et d'autres experts
-Technologie de pointe: HDL étant un centre équipé pour la prise en charge endoscopique des urolithiases
-Formation médicale: nous une formation par des experts internationaux, garantissant ainsi la transmission d'une expertise constamment mise à jour

Durant cet atelier nous assisterons a des NLPC, URSS, URS et des traitement combiné des calculs rénaux par double abord .
