From 19 to 22 September, the ITU & WHO Focus Group on “Artificial Intelligence for Health” held the Workshop and Meeting “P” at the University of Helsinki, Finland. Thomas Wiegand, Chair of the Focus Group, introduced the overview and recent development plan of FG-AI4H; Xu Shan(许珊), Senior Business Executive of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and Vice-Chair of the Focus Group, attended and updated the progress of the topic groups’ work.

On 8 September, the Focus Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health (FG-AI4H), established by ITU and WHO, held its 16th workshop for domestic partner groups, at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology ’s offices. Focus Group Vice-Chair, Xu Shan, senior business executive of CAICT, presided over the conference and conducted a training session on ITU technical standards and contribution preparation, while two topic group drivers from China delivered an introduction to their current topic description documents (TDD) ready to submit at the coming 16th focus group meeting.

The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (hereinafter referred to as CAICT, also WHO Collaborating Center of Digital Health WHO Collaborating Center for Health ) and the National Center for Chronic and Noncommunicable Disease Control and Prevention (hereafter abbreviated as NCNCD, also WHO Collaborating Centre on Community-based Integrated Non-Communicable Diseases Control and Prevention) convened a seminar on digital products and services for noncommunicable diseases prevention and control in early August, at which the first edition of collection and selection challenge of typical digital products and services was officially launched.
