Under13s match report:
The game started off very even, both sides seeing lots of the ball and opportunities were very limited. Lily lyon had an opportunity early on but blazed a shot over the bar. Our defenders dealt well with bartons attackers and the score remained 0-0. Half way through the first half scarlett took the ball in the box and was pushed over to win us a penalty. Lily converted the penalty to give us a 1-0 lead. Hornsea controlled the game after that and won a corner, the corner was cleared but jess chased it down and passed it to Charlotte who slotted a ball through to lily who calmy hit a low shot in the corner of the net 2-0. Barton got a goal back late in the first half with some good play and nice finish from their attacker. HT 2-1. Barton really put pressure on us in the 2nd half but we dealt with it really well and hit Barton on the counter....clementine played a lovely ball down the line which lily collected and took into the box and hit a brilliant shot in the top corner 3-1. Lily scored another goal shortly after when she took the ball into the corner, danced her way through 3 defenders and hit an unstoppable shot 4-1. Barton battled back late on and scored 2 good goals and frankie in particular did some excellent defensive work to stop them from scoring. Final score 4-3

🚨 Under13s match report. 🚨

Hornsea vs Cleethorpes

Hornsea started the game with a very high tempo, pushed Cleethorpes back and totally dominated play. Hornsea won a free kick 20 yards out. Lily lyon took the free kick and struck a beautiful curling effort which hit the post and went in 1-0. Hornsea kept the pressure on and pushed for a 2nd goal, Lucy and Georgia kept things quiet at the back and clementine was solid on the right side of defence. Clementine carried the ball out of defence numerous times and played some lovely balls down the line. Scarlett kept making brilliant runs down the line and trying to set up our forwards. Hornsea won a throw high up the pitch which Lucy took, the ball landed at lilys first, lily swiveled and put the ball in the corner of the net 2-0. HT 2-0 Hornsea. Second half and Cleethorpes tried to up the tempo but Hornsea coped brilliantly with the pressure, we soaked all the pressure up and hit Cleethorpes on the counter. Georgia played the ball out of defence to jess who played a ball over the top to lily, lily ran in on goal and smashed a shot from just inside the area into the top of the goal 3-0. At this point we changed the team about and just controlled the game, the girls were so mature in their performance and didn't stop playing until the end. FT 3-0 Hornsea scorers Lily Lyon 3.
