ABOUT XINXING
XinXing Aid for Kids in Crisis's aim is to ensure street children and disadvantaged youth regain their fundamental rights to survival, development and education by providing them immediate assistance and support. XinXing Aid for Kids in Crisis (XinXing) is an independent grassroots non-profit organisation specializing in aid for street kids. XinXing was founded in March 2006 by a gro
up of national staff previously employed by the Baoji Street Children program of Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) in 2001 to 2006. XinXing’s aim is to ensure street children and disadvantaged youth in Shaanxi regain their fundamental rights to survival, development and education by providing them with immediate assistance and support. XinXing offers psycho-support, medical aid, social-educational support, social investigation, and family mediation. Facts about XinXing Aid for Kids in Crisis:
• 58 Million children left behind by migrant families in China
• XinXing is the first Chinese NPO specializing in street children
• Many of them are considered invisible -- without an ID card (Hukou), they are either trafficked, abandoned or left behind. HOW TO GET INVOLVED IN XINXING
The organization is registered with the local Chinese government and is looking for support in the following areas:
• Donation to run each of the 3 centers
• Volunteers to attend field trips, coordinate events and fundraise
• Donation of food, clothing and supplies
• Specialist Support for training
• Job placement opportunities for young adults
