Why do most of the loggers have 10,000-16,000 data points?
Since most cold chain transport journeys last within 30 days, and often as short as 7 days, the most common logging intervals are 10-15 minutes, with 10,000 data points being sufficient for the entire journey.
Even with larger storage capacity, the battery’s operational lifespan remains limited under short logging intervals and low-temperature conditions, meaning it is highly unlikely that the entire storage space will be fully utilized before the battery runs out.
¿Por qué la mayoría de los registradores tienen entre 10.000 y 16.000 puntos de datos?
Dado que la mayoría de los viajes de transporte de la cadena de frío duran menos de 30 días, y a menudo tan sólo 7, los intervalos de registro más habituales son de 10-15 minutos, siendo suficientes 10.000 puntos de datos para todo el viaje.

Why battery is so important?
1. If the battery fails, it is impossible to recover the data recorded during that period, which can result in the receiver rejecting the shipment.
2. If the battery is not durable, the device may shut down during operation, causing data loss and leading to incomplete reports.
3. The operating environment for most temperature loggers is often in low-temperature conditions. In environments below -10°C, the actual battery capacity may be reduced to less than 30%, making sudden battery failure highly likely.

¿Por qué es tan importante la batería?
1. Si la batería falla, es imposible recuperar los datos registrados durante ese periodo, lo que puede provocar que el receptor rechace el envío.
2. Si la batería no es duradera, el dispositivo puede apagarse durante su funcionamiento, provocando la pérdida de datos y dando lugar a informes incompletos.
3. El entorno de funcionamiento de la mayoría de los registradores de temperatura suele ser en condiciones de baja temperatura. En entornos por debajo de -10°C, la capacidad real de la batería puede reducirse a menos del 30%, por lo que es muy probable que se produzca un fallo repentino de la batería.
