1st gen-activity against PEK (proteus, E. Coli, Klebsiella)

CUSHING SYNDROME
*This syndrome occurs due to high levels of cortisol hormone for a long time (hypercortisolism).
*Low dose dexamethasone suppression test is used in the diagnosis.
In normal individuals low-dose, dexamethasone can suppress cortisol while in all causes of Cushing syndrome they fail to suppress cortisol level.

*Valproic acid is primarily used to treat epilepsy, bipolar disorder, and prevent migraine headaches.
*Valproate has a broad spectrum of anticonvulsant activity, although it is primarily used as a first-line treatment for tonic-clonic seizures, absence seizures, and myoclonic seizures and as a second-line treatment for partial seizures and infantile spasms.

*Intermediate-acting insulins form dimers and hexamers, therefore,
take time to breakdown into absorbable forms.
*Long-acting insulins release mechanism allows mimicking basal
metabolic levels within the body.

ANTI-HYPERTENSIVES use in pregnancy should be done with caution. Those drugs should be NON-Teratogenic.
