My Lupus Story: How I Chose a Different Path
In February 2013, I was diagnosed with both Lupus SLE and Discoid Lupus. I remember sitting in the doctor’s office alone, receiving the kind of news that could have broken me.
But it didn’t.
By that time, I had already spent over a decade studying holistic health, natural remedies, and essential oils. I was a certified holistic health coach and had seen firsthand the power of natural healing—so instead of fear, I felt confirmation. I knew this diagnosis wasn’t the end of my story. It was a divine setup to help others heal, too.
Since that day, I have never taken lupus medication. I’ve had no hospital stays, no organ damage, and no emergency room visits. I see my rheumatologist once a year, and each time he says the same thing:
“Whatever you’re doing—keep doing it.”
Because my bloodwork proves it. My labs consistently show how well I’m doing without medication.
But the journey hasn’t been without tests.
Once, my labs came back with high inflammation levels, and a different doctor told me it was urgent. She wanted to start me on a three-month course of prednisone immediately. I told her it went against what I believe. I asked her to give me six months to treat myself naturally. She refused. I negotiated for three months. She said two.
I agreed.
In those two months, I did what I know to do—what I teach my clients every day. I adjusted my nutrition, increased my therapeutic oils, implemented detoxing techniques, and prioritized rest and prayer.
When my labs came back again, the inflammation had dropped significantly. The doctor looked at me, smiled, and said,
“I respect your decision—and your profession. Keep doing what you’re doing.”
That’s exactly what I’ve done—and I’ve helped others do the same.
Today, I own and operate a thriving Spa & Wellness Center. I travel, work, spend time with my children and grandchildren, and enjoy life without the debilitating pain Lupus so often brings.
My Wellness for Lupus program is a calling. It’s built from real results, real science, real faith—and a sincere desire to see other women live free, not just manage symptoms.
If you’re ready for that kind of breakthrough, I’m here to walk with you.
