What does your standing posture say about you?

It’s completely normal to favor one side of your body, usually the right.

Our asymmetries come with lots of benefits, but can also lead to unique problems.

Over time, asymmetries can turn into compensations and result in muscle and joint pain, injury, organ dysfunction, headaches, visual problems and the list goes on.

Therapeutic exercises that address your specific underlying needs can reduce pain and improve symptoms.

You can jump on the (bike, treadmill, elliptical, stair master) for 20 min a week and just ride and that’s pretty great.

You can also choose to track your performance with the intent of improving every week. Here’s why that even better.

* Motivation to beat your score = increased interest.
* Increased interest = more effort.
* More effort = faster progress.
* Faster progress = greater results.
* Greater results = more satisfaction.
* More satisfaction = more adherence.
* More adherence = habit forming.
* Habit forming = movement practice.
* Movement practice = second nature.
* Second nature = personal identity.
* Personal identity = sustainability.

Tracking your efforts is way more than improving a number, it’s a tool of habit science that improves your chances of sustained effort over time. Give it a shot!

Picture a mountain in your minds eye.

What does it look like? What are the shapes? What is the size? What is the color? What is the topography? What is the background? What is the foreground? How many details can you imagine?

What qualities does the mountain symbolize? Strength? Longevity? Nobility? Resourcefulness? Providing? Rooted and stable? Resilient and withstanding, yet also yielding and evolving?

What qualities does the mountain possess that you see in yourself?

As you picture your mountain, embody these qualities in your posture and energetic expression.

Tune in and feel every ounce of this energy within you, and all around you.

Amplify it with every breath, remembering you can always return to this place.

Generally speaking, humans are materialists and only pay attention to the material world. However, just because we can’t see or touch something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. ⚛️

Open focus theory:
Get comfortable, close your eyes and broaden your focus, continuously sensing nothing but the space around your body. Connect your awareness to the electromagnetic field of energy that exists within you, and all around you.

This act suppresses frontal lobe activity (show in brain scans) allowing you to quiet the analytical mind, and fall into a state of brain & heart coherence.
