Masiane Genetics Pty Ltd has a Goat Management Training three days Training from 29 - 30 September (theory) and the past day which is the 1st of October will be doing practicals at our farm in Musina Limpopo province in South Africa.

The theory will cover

- Goat Nutrition
- Animal Health in terms of Diseases and treatments
- Reproduction
- Weaning planning
- Lactation and supplements
- Goat housing and Infrastructure

Practicals with cover

- Hoof trimming
- Deworming
- Dipping
- Castration
- Tagging and Recording
- Brandmark Tattooing
- Worms inspection

Good morning to you all. Today I want to encourage you to look at your long term invest. I regard goat and sheep farming as lucrative long term investment business with more returns or interests. Here is my argument, if you put R20k in a fixed Investments for 5 years am pretty sure that your bank won't give you more than 50% interest over 5 years.

You take the same R20k and buy goats / sheep and please note don't just buy but buy good Genetics. Each ewe/doe will 300 - 400% interest in 24 months. If you manage them properly in terms of nutrition and good handling, the interests could actually double or triple as some ewe/doe produce twins , or triplets.

Now, the same mentality that you have of saving 10 - 30% of your earnings from work, business or any other hustles. Save and invest in goats and sheep farming.
