🥩 After 30+ years of being vegetarian & vegan… I made a choice I never expected.
🌱 For most of my life, I lived plant-based — for my health, my values, and my love for animals. One experience with red meat even sent me to the hospital, so I stayed far away for years.
🧠 As an integrative nutritionist, I still deeply believe in plant-based living as a powerful foundation. That hasn’t changed.
🔍 But after witnessing several people heal from unexplained autoimmune and other serious health issues through conscious, moderate use of red meat, something shifted. I listened. I observed. I studied. I stayed curious.
✨ What many don’t know is that for the last few seasons, I felt a calling… and even had recurring dreams about introducing it again.
🚧 I resisted it. A lot.
My history, my beliefs, my values, and the fear of getting sick again after that one experience kept the door closed.
👂 Hearing more stories softened that resistance. Curiosity replaced judgment. Listening replaced certainty.
❤️ When I finally reintroduced it slowly, my body responded in unexpected ways: more energy, fewer cravings, and important feedback to pay attention to.
🤍 This isn’t about “meat vs vegan.”
It’s about bio-individuality. Different bodies. Different seasons. Different needs.
🌿 Listening to the body is a form of respect.
🌱 And just to be clear MY personal story was never the reason I promoted vegan or plant-based living. 🤍 Outside of the detox space, I have always supported clients who had a deep physiological need for animal foods in their diets. I understand that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and that honoring the body’s signals is part of true integrative care.
🚀 And that same openness is why my work continues to evolve including offering an optional Animal Meat Strategy inside our Motivational Detox Program, while keeping a plant-based lifestyle as the main foundation.
⚖️ Balance isn’t doing the same thing forever.
It’s having the courage to listen when your body asks for change.
