There are 72.000 Nadis in our body. The most often mentioned are the Ida, Pingala and Sushumna Nadi.

Nadis are channels where energy flows. The meaning of the word Nadi is literally flow. Vital energy flows in our Nadis to every part of our body.

Sushumna is the central energy channel flowing though the center of the spine. Here seven chakras are located from base to crown.

Ida is representing the moon, and Pingala the sun. These two pranic flows are responsible for the experience of duality which meets at Sushumna Nadi, the central energy channel. The current of energy in Ida and Pingala Nadi flows from below and upwards in a criss-cross, making the chakras spin.

Ida and Pingala controls the body alternately. If you notice the air passing through your nostrils, you will find that in one side the air is flowing more freely.

When the left nostril is open, it’s the lunar energy, Ida Nadi and the right-side brain which is in function. When the right nostril is more open, the solar energy, Pingala Nadi and the left part of the brain is activated. This affects our whole body and daily life.

When the Ida and Pingala energy flow are balanced, then the energy flows through the Sushumna Nadi. This leads to a feeling of peace and bliss. This higher level of consciousness is what can be experienced through yogic practices like meditation, asana and pranayama.

✨Natarajasana✨
The name comes from the Sanskrit nata, meaning "dancer," raja, meaning "king," and asana, meaning "pose" or "posture." The common English name for this pose is dancer's pose (or lord of the dance pose).
Natarajasana improves balance and focus. It strengthens the legs, hips, ankles, and chest, and helps one develop grace. It also promotes inner stillness and consciousness of the world changing all around.
Traditionally, nataraja is the king, or lord, of the dance, which is the cosmic dance of creation, preservation and dissolution. Named after him, natarajasana teaches one to recognize contrasts. On one hand, one is aware of the dance of life, with all its rhythms, cycles, challenges and rewards; but, behind all of this, there is absolute stillness. This pose helps the practitioner to be able to witness all of these movements and changes, but remain changeless. In other words, to be still while dancing and to dance while being still.

Everybody has a little bit of the sun and moon in them. Everybody has a little bit of man, woman, and animal in them. Darks and lights in them. Everyone is part of a connected cosmic system. Part earth and sea, wind and fire, with some salt and dust swimming in them. We have a universe within ourselves that mimics the universe outside. None of us are just black or white, or never wrong and always right. No one. No one exists without polarities. Everybody has good and bad forces working with them, against them, and within them.

Yogadandasana, the name comes from the Sanskrit, yoga, meaning “to unite,” danda, meaning "staff," and asana, which means "posture" or "seat.” It is so called because it resembles the body using its own leg as a crutch or staff.

✨Traditionally, yogadandasana, like other hip opening postures is associated with balancing or activating svadisthana chakra. This is the sacral chakra, and working with postures that stimulate this chakra is thought to boost creativity and sensuality. It may help to reduce anxiety or fear of pleasure as well.

✨The hip-opening nature of the posture may also help to release stuck or stagnant energy or tension from this area, which can also provide an uplifting, empowering or simply balancing effect.

A giver never stop to be a giver, only if one does not want to receive. Receive is the hard part, you have to let go of your ego and open your heart in order to accept and appreciate what is given to you.
One's you master and balance let go and receive you are eternally a giver.

Why?
Because once you receive that pure feeling of love and gratitude,
only giving it back will overcome that sensation!

🌸 Pratyahara 🌸
Withdrawal of the Senses

✨Shanmukhi Mudra ✨
Closing of the 6 gates (2 ears, 2 eyes, nose, and mouth). It is a symbolic way of saying that for next few minutes you are not interested in the outer, and you want to take your awareness and senses inward..

Benefits:
🌙Improves focus.
🌙Helps in keeping mind inward.
🌙Soothes nerves in the face and forehead area.
🌙Stimulates the energy centre between eye brows.
🌙Enhances inner peace and calmness.

✨How to Practice✨

🌸Sit up straight but relaxed.

🌸Place the little fingers below lips, ring fingers above lips, middle fingers at the nostrils, index fingers on the eyes, and thumbs at the openings of the ears.

🌸With middle fingers softly resting on the nostrils (without closing them partially), breathe deeply and with each breath take the awareness more and more inward with this feeling that you are not interested in anything outer.

🌸After each inhalation you may hold the breath in , and gently close both nostrils with middle fingers. Hold it for few seconds but without any struggle, and then exhale smoothly.

🌸On exhalations you can also make a long high-pitch sound like a bee, hoom…….

🌸In the beginning, practice this for 8-10 breaths, and gradually increase it to 5-8 minutes.

🌙Padma sarvangasana🌙

Stimulates circulation and breath. This helps to alleviate fatigue while relaxing the brain. These calming benefits are thought to be helpful for those suffering from insomnia, stress or mild depression.

It is associated with the visuddha (throat) chakra. This posture can stimulate and balance this energy center while bringing about better communication and creativity. Focus and awareness may be brought to the throat chakra while practicing this posture to increase these benefits.

Padma sarvangasana or Lotus in shoulder stand pose is considered beneficial for the body also because :

✨Stimulates the thyroid gland, which helps to regulate the metabolism.
✨Stretches the muscles of the shoulder, neck, legs and hips.
✨Improves flexibility in the spine.
✨Relieves menopausal symptoms.
✨Increases circulation.
It is also thought to be helpful for those suffering from asthma, infertility, headaches and migraines.
