This also means that life starts to feel empty, meaningless. We might become more confused with life and restless focusing more and more on material things even addictions.

So, we can easily see, how having a connection with Spirit, God, Higher Power, will give us more meaning and joy in the most simple of daily experiences. We feel more connected to life and life somehow feels more vibrant. Life takes a different perspective, as it becomes more balance between Spirit and Material dimension.

It is really easy to distract ourselves from what we are supposed to do right now, in this moment! Especially when we have a long task list and these days we have our phones with us all the time waiting for us. 🙈

Today, I really had to remind myself that breakfast 🧇 time is not mindless scrolling time. I caught myself, eating breakfast and scrolling through social media, catching up! 🙈I had to talk to myself, I had to remind myself, that this is not the right time. This is the time to allow myself to savour the current experience. 🙏

So, I shifted my attention totally to breakfast; I could notice and really enjoy the scent and taste of coffee☕️, feel the crunchiness of the nuts, and taste the sweetness of the strawberry 🍓 and honey. And that feels really good. 👍

Because feeling good 👍 does not depend on the grand moments, the big successes or amazing achievements. Feeling good 😊 moments can be with you any time, if you bring more awareness and focus on that moment. In this case, was the breakfast.

I have trained my mind to shift attention to what really matters in the moment, otherwise it is very easy to distract myself. This is why I believe in mindfulness as part of my life and I want to share it with as many as possible, because it helps us to reframe our mind, change automatic habits that do not help us, and through this life takes a different perspective. And it’s not by forcing but through self awareness that gives us the possibility to make choices.

You will have more feel good 👍 moments, and you will do what it right for you at that moment. 🙏

How does mindfulness support us?

Most of us live busy lives, juggling many roles and responsibilities.�Without realising it, we often slip into autopilot.

Autopilot has its place — but when we live there too often, we drift away from the present moment. We run on empty, react unnecessarily, make unconscious choices, and slowly lose a sense of meaning.

With a consistent mindfulness practice, we begin to move from
�AUTOPILOT → AWARENESS → CONSCIOUS CHOICES.

Awareness means gently noticing our thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations as they are, without judgement. From this place, we start relating to ourselves with more compassion and understanding.

And from awareness, conscious choices become possible.�Choices that support a healthier way of living — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

We begin to choose with clarity. With care — for ourselves, others, and the planet.

I invite you to join me for A Crown chakradance, 💃🕺 at the Wellness Academy, a gentle wellbeing experience that combines music, 🎶 free-form movement, 💃relaxation🧘, and creativity 🎨to help you unwind and reconnect with yourself. 💜

During the session you will:

How do you start your day? 🙏☀️

Mindless or Mindful?

How you start your day sets the tone of the rest of the day. Of course, things happen but if we start the day mindlessly, it is more likely we will go through the day mindless. And if we start the day mindful, it is more likely we move through the day with more presence and intention, and not being swept away by situations.

Personally, I start my day, with some warm water with lemon, then off to the yoga mat for my daily meditation, prayers and some yoga stretches. Sometimes, I do some of my meditation practices before I get out of bed. But, I avoid scrolling through the phone or any other screen in those early hours. I give time to my body and mind to wake up in a gentle intentional connected way.

I AM GRATEFUL 🙏

Something that I believe is important to teach our children 👦 from a young age is the value of gratitude. 🙏

Many of our children are living in a world that encourages instant gratification, having everything they want pretty much immediately. Looking at my daughter’s room it’s bursting with stuff. Of course, we enable it and maybe we spoil her a little bit too much. Mind you, I don’t always give in to her requests 😃

So, I feel it is even more important, to focus daily on gratitude, being thankful of what went well during the day, being thankful to what she probably takes for granted. 🙏

There are many different activities we can do with our children, even in playful ways. For example, gratitude jar and gratitude tree. And also thank you notes. These are not just activities for children but activities that all the family can participate in. ✨

They can also involve movement like a gratitude walk 🚶‍♀️ and something like I spy with my little eye, something I am thankful that I see beginning with “a letter of the alphabet”.

Of course, there are also books 📕 and movies. 🎥 A good movie for kids is “Coco” that teaches different values including gratitude.

Something, we do everyday, with 🛏️ bedtime routine, is to talk about 2 good things or things that went well during the day and we are grateful for …

❓Why gratitude with kids?
👧 Children feel happier and less stressed
👦Gratitude is a positive emotion that teaches them to appreciate the good things in the present moment
👧It improves social connection
👦It supports kindness and empathy
👦It reduces anxiety, and negative thoughts and emotions

🙏Gratitude is a subject we delve into the mindfulness for kids courses in a creative playful way. I will also share specific activities in detail in the near future.
