Díky moc Karel Janeček za příležitost společně nahlédnout a podebatovat o životě včel. Je krásné jak lidé z různých oborů mohou nalézat synergii a vzájemně objevovat různé "zákonitosti" např. mezi včelařstvím a matematikou 😃

Díky za podporu a je to další energie, která nás žene dopředu být ještě silnějšími a lepšími v tom abychom budovali udržitelné principy včelaření. 🐝

Some like blue, some like brown on the 🐝 hive. Which colour do you prefer? 🌈 We currently offer: red, walnut, light walnut, mahogany, blue, organic linseed oil or of course without paint.

From the reactions of curious beekeepers:
Why heat the bees in the hive?
For example, the average annual temperature in the Czech Republic is 9.5 °C. The bees heat the brood to about 35°C, so the bees have to heat it🔥 If you help them by heating the brood in a Thermosolar hive, they don't consume so much reserves for energy-intensive heating, which has a positive effect on the amount of honey (our data shows that it is 40 %). By the way, the average temperature in the Czech Republic in summer (July and August) 2023 was 19.6°C, so the bees have to heat the brood in summer too. When there are tropical days, the bees cool down, but in an insulated hive this need is much lower because the heat transfer from the sun is not as fast and during this period the beekeeper puts covers in front of the windows to prevent excessive heating. The Thermosolar hive not only helps the bees against varroasis 🐝

Bees and brood in March - Thermosolar hive 🐝
This video (in Czech) was sent to us by Vojta - a young beekeeper who decided to try beekeeping without chemicals last year and bought a Thermosolar hive.
We are very happy to share the video. We are always pleased to get feedback from beekeepers who use the Thermosolar hive 🤓

Video description:
The brood at Thermosolar Hive don't look too bad. Bees are on five frames, the hive was nicely warmed up after a sunny day, the bees were calm, they are brooding consistently and in my opinion strongly, even having eggs up to the first frame. Their stores are carried around the brood nicely, showing no signs of nosema (like the surrounding colonies). For me, an ideal hive. Since I'm not the best beekeeper, this hive is starting to suit me pre-season, as it seems to have managed the biggest pitfalls of the worst time for bees without my intervention. Or in spite of it. The surrounding bee colonies in the regular hives are not happy with me and don't look their best. And I've been treating continuously through the season. But the dampness in the hives and the mite on the late brood probably did their part.

Plodování (kraňky) v TSU nevypadá špatně. Včelstvo na pět uliček, po slunném dni byl úl pěkně vyhřátý, včely byly v klidu, plodují uceleně a podle mého názor...
