She has dementia, and we care for her, so every day is new — and every day is beautiful with her. It’s truly special to experience life together with her, and it brings us so much joy.

She is also a very dear patient of ours. She is always kind, gentle, and loving. Of course, she forgets many things, so we tell her the same stories again each day — but she listens with the same interest and warmth every time. She is endlessly grateful, always friendly, and her appreciation touches us again and again.

And even though she forgets, she hasn’t forgotten everything. She still knows many things, and you can see how smart she is. That makes spending time with her even more meaningful. Caring for her doesn’t feel like a burden at all — it truly feels like a gift

I know from my own experience how it feels when life suddenly changes.
When an accident, an illness, or an unexpected event turns everything upside down, and as a family you are simply trying to stay strong and find your way.

I was in exactly this situation after my mother was involved in a very serious car accident and narrowly survived.
What followed was a long and exhausting period filled with worry, hope, and uncertainty. There were many transitions between intensive care, rehabilitation, setbacks, and new fears. And again and again, the same quiet question: What happens next?

Despite everything, my mother made it through.
But at some point I felt that something was no longer right. She was extremely weak, weighed only 36 kilograms, and I had the feeling that within the medical system she was slowly being lost as a person.

From this feeling, I made a decision that was not easy, but felt right.
I brought my mother home and took over her care myself.

This time changed me deeply.
I experienced how important closeness, trust, and continuity truly are. How much calm and stability can arise when care is not only about routines, but about presence, listening, and genuine human connection.
And I saw how alone family members often feel, even though they are doing everything they can.

Through my mother’s journey, a thought grew inside me:
If I can walk this path for my mother, then I want to walk it together with other people and their families as well.

This is where what we do today was born.

Over the past six years, we have had the privilege of accompanying many people here on very different paths.
Some on their way back into life, some in regaining a sense of independence, and some during the final chapter of their lives, which we strive to make as dignified, calm, and loving as possible.

We know how much courage it takes to accept help.
That is why we approach every person individually, with respect, patience, and heart – always with the intention of offering safety, relief, and trust.

———

She originally came to Thailand to enjoy a holiday. Unfortunately, her journey turned into a very long hospital stay.

Now, during her recovery, we are trying to bring a little bit of holiday feeling back into her days. Her favorite animal is the elephant, so her wish was to visit an elephant sanctuary. Of course, we were more than happy to make that happen.

Seeing her smile again reminded us why we do what we do. Sometimes it’s not about big steps, but about small moments that bring joy, comfort, and a sense of life back

My nurses know that I love active care and that this is something we truly live in our daily work. Even patients who cannot walk are brought outside to enjoy the terrace. Care doesn’t have to be boring or confined to four walls — sometimes a shave in the fresh air on the terrace is simply part of a good day.

We are still walking this path together with our dear young Fud. The Rotary Samui-Phangan Club kindly sponsors the costs for daily necessities and supports us so that we can accompany him to school. He also needs to stay in the hospital every few months for three days to receive bisphosphonate therapy. This treatment helps strengthen his bones so they are less likely to break. We are deeply grateful for this support, and it is truly our pleasure to continue accompanying and supporting Fud on his journey.
Together we are stronger.

There is once again a beautiful story that begins with us.
On the evening of December 22nd, we picked her up from the ICU to begin her rehabilitation, so that she may one day be able to fly home again.

She originally came here for a holiday, but unfortunate circumstances led to a long and challenging hospital stay—many weeks in total.

We are deeply grateful and very happy that, during her recovery, we are now able to support her and help her experience this time in a gentle and beautiful way. And give here now some holiday feeling’s.

To healing, to strength, and to beautiful new chapters.

After a long hospital stay and a very large open wound on his leg, we are incredibly grateful to share that our patient has finally reached an important milestone: the wound has fully closed.

This means more than just physical healing. We can finally go outside again, and little by little he is regaining the freedom to shape his daily life in a way that feels right for him. Being able to choose how to spend the day, to move more independently, and to return to everyday moments brings so much joy.

Seeing this kind of progress fills our hearts. It reminds us how powerful loving, attentive and consistent care truly is — and how much it can change a person’s life. Moments like these are the reason we do what we do.

Dementia Care is, and always will be, something special. We care Mister Phillip now more then 1 year and sometimes it is hard to see that we not can stop it.
Our goal is to keep your mind active and engaged while doing our very best to make every single day a good and meaningful day.

Even if memories sometimes fade, we still strive to create beautiful moments — filled with kindness, joy, and dignity. Through games, gentle movement, and shared activities, we support memory, connection, and overall well-being.

Of course, we also spend time outdoors, enjoying fresh air and movement, because quality of life matters.

This is care with heart, respect, and presence — every day.
Care with love -that’s make the difference 🥰🌺🙏

One month ago, we brought you home from the hospital, and since then we’ve been by your side every day — caring for you, supporting you, and guiding your recovery.

In this short time, you’ve made amazing progress:

• Your walking is more stable.
• We can flex your foot much better now and the foot-drop therapy is working.
• Hot and cold foot baths are helping your circulation and Nerv Stimulation After compartment Syndrom
• We are preparing to start electrical stimulation to build more strength.
• And the biggest milestone: your large wound closed yesterday — a wonderful moment for all of us.

Now we’re planning to go outside more, continue building strength, and look forward to another month full of progress.
Care for us means walking this path together — step by step, with heart, patience, and hope.

Care with love - this make the difference 🥰🌸🙏
