Living with dementia is not about doing something big.
It’s about creating small moments of comfort, routine, and connection.

Some moments are clear, others are more confusing. That’s why a calm and supportive environment is so important.

We focus on simple but meaningful things:
gentle massages to relax the body, beautifully prepared meals to encourage appetite, and small activities like puzzles and concentration games to help keep the mind engaged.

Even when memories fade, the feeling of being cared for remains.

Today we travelled to Nakhon Si Thammarat to pick up one of our patients after a serious accident on the mainland.

After three weeks in hospital and a successful surgery, he was finally able to return home today.

These are the moments that remind us why we do what we do. It’s not just about medical care — it’s about being there when someone needs support the most, helping them transition safely from hospital back into their home environment.

A big step forward on his road to recovery.

We’re grateful to be part of that journey.

What started as a holiday on Koh Samui took an unexpected turn when he collapsed on the plane and spent nine days in the ICU. Now our focus is on helping him regain his strength and get back on his feet. He was so happy for his first shower.
With a little patience and support, we hope he will still be able to enjoy a few peaceful days of his holiday before returning to Germany.

I have to say, I’m truly grateful that with most — actually almost all — of our clients’ families, we share a very close and trusting relationship. Not only with the patients themselves, but also with their loved ones. And that makes our work so much easier, so much more effective. And only can say thank you so much.

In the case of our dear Thai mama, this trust allowed us to act quickly. She was first diagnosed with abdominal pain and sent home from the government hospital with medication. But after reviewing everything, we gently suggested that an ultrasound should be done, just to be safe.

Her daughter immediately made the right decision and fully supported us.
Thankfully so much to here lovley daughter — because it turned out to be a gallbladder infection that required prompt treatment. It was handled quickly, and now she is doing much better.

We are currently on holiday in Chiang Mai, but sometimes life calls in between peaceful moments — and when it does, we respond. That’s part of what care truly means.

On our way to Koh Phangan by boat.

Between sea and sky, a quiet moment before the next chapter begins.

We cared for this patient last year, and unfortunately his condition has declined again. He now needs support once more — and so we return.

Some journeys are not linear. Sometimes strength fades, and help is needed again. And when that moment comes, we are there.

Ready to support. Step by step.

Our goal was to find the right balance between rehabilitation and helping you regain your strength for your long journey home to England, after so many weeks in hospital.

At the same time, we wanted to give you a little sense of holiday as well – because that part of your trip had been taken away from you.

And we truly believe we managed to do both.

Now it is time. You are on your way home, back to England, and we wish you all the love, strength, and happiness for everything that lies ahead.

It has been a pleasure and an honour to be part of your journey.

She has dementia, and we care for her, so every day is new — and every day is beautiful with her. It’s truly special to experience life together with her, and it brings us so much joy.

She is also a very dear patient of ours. She is always kind, gentle, and loving. Of course, she forgets many things, so we tell her the same stories again each day — but she listens with the same interest and warmth every time. She is endlessly grateful, always friendly, and her appreciation touches us again and again.

And even though she forgets, she hasn’t forgotten everything. She still knows many things, and you can see how smart she is. That makes spending time with her even more meaningful. Caring for her doesn’t feel like a burden at all — it truly feels like a gift

I know from my own experience how it feels when life suddenly changes.
When an accident, an illness, or an unexpected event turns everything upside down, and as a family you are simply trying to stay strong and find your way.

I was in exactly this situation after my mother was involved in a very serious car accident and narrowly survived.
What followed was a long and exhausting period filled with worry, hope, and uncertainty. There were many transitions between intensive care, rehabilitation, setbacks, and new fears. And again and again, the same quiet question: What happens next?

Despite everything, my mother made it through.
But at some point I felt that something was no longer right. She was extremely weak, weighed only 36 kilograms, and I had the feeling that within the medical system she was slowly being lost as a person.

From this feeling, I made a decision that was not easy, but felt right.
I brought my mother home and took over her care myself.

This time changed me deeply.
I experienced how important closeness, trust, and continuity truly are. How much calm and stability can arise when care is not only about routines, but about presence, listening, and genuine human connection.
And I saw how alone family members often feel, even though they are doing everything they can.

Through my mother’s journey, a thought grew inside me:
If I can walk this path for my mother, then I want to walk it together with other people and their families as well.

This is where what we do today was born.

Over the past six years, we have had the privilege of accompanying many people here on very different paths.
Some on their way back into life, some in regaining a sense of independence, and some during the final chapter of their lives, which we strive to make as dignified, calm, and loving as possible.

We know how much courage it takes to accept help.
That is why we approach every person individually, with respect, patience, and heart – always with the intention of offering safety, relief, and trust.
