Wir freuen uns über jeden, der Lust hat bei perfektem Sonnenschein die erste Startetappe bis nach Potsdam mitzufahren oder gerne auch allen Teilnehmer einen feierlichen Start zu ermöglichen. TISCHTENNIS UND PARKINSON!
Unser Lieblingssport ist nicht nur wichtig, wenn es um die Verbesserung körperlicher Symptome bei Parkinson geht. Tremor, Rigor und vor allem die Schnelligkeit in den Bewegungen und der Reaktion können hier stark verbessert werden.
Vor allem aber macht es Riesenspaß, mit anderen zu spielen, zusammen und gegeneinander. Gegenseitiger Austausch und Motivation stehen an oberster Stelle!

Our favorite sport is not only important when it comes to improving physical symptoms in Parkinson's disease. Tremor, rigor and, above all, the speed of movement and reaction can be greatly improved here.
Above all, it's great fun to play with others, together and against each other. Mutual exchange and motivation are top priority!

A video that addresses one of the most important topics in the Parkinson's world, namely the responsibility of employers for maintaining income, the professional family and the self-esteem of those affected (this applies to all neurodegenerative diseases ...). However, we patients also share responsibility: hiding is not an option. Thank you for this really nice, very professional video. One of the next campaigns of the YUVEDO Foundation will focus on this topic. It is good to know that there are lighthouse examples of successful employer / employee responsibility!👏🤝

Join us for three days of passionate matches, connect with people, become friends and feel the vibrant spirit of Berlin!

This is a call for all of you in the worldwide community of people with Parkinson’s who are passionate for playing table tennis!

Two years ago, the journey started in New York…
Now we revive this great idea of a highly professional table tennis tournament for the international Parkinson’s community.

An official tournament by the ITTF Foundation (International Table Tennis Federation) and passionately organized and hosted by the YUVEDO Foundation for people with Parkinson’s.

We already have pre-registrations from 25 countries from all over the world. To guarantee a great internationality and an equal treatment of nations, together with the ITTF Foundation, we implemented country quotas with 4 players per country (2 women, 2 men)

* Please note that due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the special need to protect people with PD, the number of players will initially be limited to 200 as a precaution. If officially permitted and responsible the Local Organization Committee might allow more players.

Beside this great tournament we would love to see people with Parkinson’s from all over the world as well as their families and friends getting connected, sharing experience and become friends!

Basic information

- 3 days tournament (singles, doubles, mixed matches)
- Open to approximately 200 players from all levels
- Shuttle service for players
- Medical service team and physiotherapists on site
- Relaxation facilites
- Supporting program (sightseeing, culture and scientific talks) for players and companions

The official registration process starts April 15th 06:00 a.m. CET until May 31st 00:00 a.m. CET directly on our website (pwttc.de) which will be open to everybody very soon.

As the local organizing committee, we would like to keep you informed with any news about the 2nd official ITTF Parkinson’s World Table Tennis Championships here in Berlin,
September 9th -11th 2021.

Even though we have to react as close as possible to the the actual pandemic situation, we want to increase your anticipation and still hold on to this date.

Our preparations are in full swing and we work passionately to make this tournament an unforgettable event with outstanding moments for you and your companions.

This website will be updated regularly, please have a look from time to time to see what’s new.

We are very much delighted to have international pre-registrations from 25 countries from all over the world to the present date. This is absolutely fantastic!

It is our great vision to bring people with PD together from all parts of the world, for a passionate tournament but also to strengthen and unite the worldwide Parkinson’s community!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the special need to protect people with Parkinson’s disease YUVEDO and the ITTF Foundation have decided to limit the number of participants to approximately 200 players.

To guarantee internationality and equal treatment of nations, together with the ITTF Foundation, we have decided to implement country quotas which are common for international tournaments.
Basically, we also offer the same number of starting places to women and men in accordance with the principle of equality of the genders.

The official registration process will be opened from April 1st.
Shortly, we will inform about further details regarding the participation.

Let’s celebrate table tennis this September here in Berlin with a powerful tournament and strengthen the community of people with Parkinson's and their families.
