Wings and Roots
Q***r Gardening & Birdwatching Week
21-28 March 2026 @ La Bassa Mar

🌿 A week for q***r and trans people to slow down, root together, and connect 🌿

La Bassa Mar invites you to a collective week of learning, gardening, birdwatching, walking, and sharing. This gathering is a space for q***r and trans* people to spend time with the land, exchange knowledge, and collaboratively care for local ecosystems through gardening, observation, and learning.

During the week, we will:
🌼 Create spaces for shared learning, reflection, and exchange
🦋 Actively support local biodiversity by working on parts of La Bassa’s land and garden 🌱 Find and identify native plants and exchange ecological gardening practices rooted in the local context
📝Explore and preserve the q***rness of nature by creating a live-archive of the territory’s biodiversity
🦩 Practice birdwatching in the Delta de l’Ebro Natural Park
🌊 Spend time walking together by the sea and the surrounding landscapes

A loose daily structure will hold collective tasks, workshops, and activities, while leaving room for participants’ ideas and spontaneous initiatives.

🗓 Dates: 21–28 March 2026
👥 Participants: Maximum 18 people

📝 To join, please fill in the form linked in BIO at by January 23th. We will let you know if you have a spot by January 26th.

We especially encourage applications from trans, inter, and non-binary people, with a focus on transfeminine and BIPoC participants.

No previous experience is needed. Whether your hands are already used to soil or you’re just interested, this week is about collective care, curiosity, and imagining sustainable futures together.
We look forward to spending this time together—listening to birds, tending the soil, and growing community 🌿🦋
See you at La Bassa Mar

The NADA protocol is a standardized form of acupuncture involving five ear points, administered in a specific setting. It has proven to be an effective treatment for individuals experiencing stress, trauma, or a wide range of mental health conditions.
NADA involves the gentle placement of up to five small, sterilized, disposable needles at specific points on each ear. Participants sit quietly in a group setting for
30-45 minutes and allow the treatment to take effect.
The NADA protocol was developed in the 1970s in New York’s South Bronx by members of the Black Panther Party and the Young Lords to address addiction within
Black and Puerto Rican communities.
Treatment using the NADA protocol can support people
who:
want to better cope with daily stress suffer from stress or burnout symptoms are dealing with traumatic experiences experience restlessness or sleep disorders are managing chronic pain
are struggling with addiction or substance use (alcohol and or drugs)
are living with mental illness experience hyperactivity or eating disorderswant to stop smoking
There are no known medical contraindications. NADA is a non-verbal treatment method, meaning participants do not need to speak or share anything unless they choose to.
We offer NADA sessions on Mondays at 18:00 for Q***r BIPoC, and on Thursdays at 18:00 for Q***r BIPoC and all Trans, Inter, and Nonbinary people.
Please check our Telegram channel or Instagram for the current monthly schedule.

BIPOC Healing Practitioners Intervision
Followed by BIPOC Community Hangout

For all BIPOC Healing Practitioners, across fields and methods, we are now hosting monthly exchange meetings to discuss various topics or challenges you experience in your practice in a confidential space. Alternating between online and in-person meet-ups, we will meet from 12:00 - 13:30, on the Second Sunday of each month. The in-person meet-ups will take place in Casa Kua, and open up from 13:30-15:00 to a BIPOC hangout that includes the larger Casa Kua network and beyond. During this second portion, workshop facilitators, organisers and creatives, or those interested in getting more involved in those areas are welcomes to join for tea/coffee/snacks to get to know one another’s practices, dicuss potential projects, or just enjoy the cozy vibes.

Each month, we’ll focus on a particular theme that you are welcome to propose. If something came up for you in a recent session that feels urgent to receive support and feedback on, you’re welcomed to bring that too.

No registration needed. If you have any questions, please email: info@casa-kua.com

Next Intervision: Sunday January 11th, 12:00-13:30

💪 Navigating Masculinity 💪

What does healthy masculinity look like? Rather than distancing ourselves from manhood, how can we claim it in a way that feels positive? For this month’s meet up, we want to provide a space to talk about navigating masculinity and manhood within trans-masculinity. Let’s talk about our roles within the patriarchy, supporting trans-feminist perspectives, passing & trans-masculine invisibility, lingering or intentional attachment to womanhood, boyhood vs manhood & positive uses of power. Do you feel you experience male privilege? Are you a victim or a perpetrator of sexism?

Whatever your relationship to masculinity and manhood, please feel free to join. As always, there is no pressure to talk or share unless you wish to. You’re completely welcome to just come by and just listen / eat snacks

casakua A monthly anti-psychiatric group in Casa Kua.
The group is open, free of charge and explicitly for trans*/inter*/non-binary/q***r people affected by psychiatry.
Many of us face psychiatric violence over and over again.
There are hardly any offers to talk about one’s own experiences, feelings and traumatising experiences in psychiatry. Especially without having to be exposed to new psychiatric pressure. We want to offer a space for our community to exchange. We meet once a month on Wednesdays between 6 and 8 pm.
We welcome registrations in advance by email at:
antipsychiatricgroup@riseup.net
but this is not a prerequisite to participate.
The group is hosted by Echo (middle class, post-east-migrant, white, German passport, careleaver, non-binary, trans,) and Jamila (middle class, Afro- Austrian,
EU passport, genderfluid, non-binary).
They partially don’t have lived experience and partially have negative experiences with involuntary psychiatric treatment or psychiatric violence while transitioning.
