The first and most important thing is: we don’t want to hurt someone’s emotions with our site, especially of real disabled people! For sure: it is a severe handicap loosing one or two limbs or sitting paralyzed in the wheelchair for the rest of your life. And we’re aware of the fact, that most of the really ‘disabled’ people and their relatives are not happy about their destiny. We can’t imagine the real impact of an amputation to life, we only feel the impact for one or two hours, maybe some days. But most Pretenders have a good understanding for the daily recurrence problems of disabled people: physical limitations, missing wheelchair access, small stairs, no one in reach who could help at the moment e.g. And most Pretenders are devoted to amputees too and could give them missing things back like a relationship or pay them attention without pity.
