🌍💪 Today is Black Friday, but not in our online shop. Like every year we decided against participating in this event because we believe it is part of the problem of climate change and pollution. Instead we want to take this day of overconsumption as an opportunity to pause and reflect on our collective consumption habits. 🛍️ Instead of buying, let’s embrace the mantra „Choose Well - Buy Less - Make it Last“ as a guiding principle for our shopping habits - not just today, but every day.

💡 The current take-make-waste economy consumes a staggering 100 billion tons of materials annually, with over 90% ending up as waste. Only a mere 7.2% is being circulated back into the economy (Circularity Gap Report 2023). It’s time for a change.

Today is international women's day and we thought long and hard about what we would like to say on this special day that celebrates women's achievements, raises awareness about discrimination, and is all about inclusion. We thought about portraying our incredible co-workers, who support our mission every day, or about posting a statement on gender equality, or talking about all the incredible women that are forging change – today and always. But instead we want to say thank you to all the amazing women out there. No matter if you're currently fighting your very own battle in private, or a global one against climate change, injustices or war. Thank you for being amazing and showing up every single day.

Heute ist der internationale Frauentag, und wir haben lange darüber nachgedacht, was wir an diesem besonderen Tag, an dem die Frauen gefeiert werden, das Bewusstsein für Diskriminierung geschärft wird und sich alles um Inklusion dreht, sagen wollen. Wir haben darüber nachgedacht, unsere wunderbaren Mitarbeiterinnen zu porträtieren, die unsere Mission jeden Tag unterstützen, wir haben auch darüber nachgedacht, etwas zum Thema Geschlechter-Gleichstellung zu sagen, oder über all die unglaublichen Frauen zu sprechen, die tagtäglich Großes vorantreiben. Stattdessen wollen wir uns bei allen Frauen da draußen bedanken. Egal, ob ihr gerade euren ganz persönlichen Kampf im Privaten oder einen globalen Kampf gegen den Klimawandel, Ungerechtigkeiten oder Krieg führt. Danke, dass ihr so toll seid und euch jeden Tag aufs Neue für euch selbst oder uns alle einsetzt.
