Saving baby tomatoes from a cold death, before they have their last produce.
It's almost the end of the summer in Germany and temperatures are already around 15°, which is not ideal for crops, or better said...our balcony tomatoes.
That's why I needed to find a place inside our home for them to grow their last happy days in a warm cozy light place, which happens to be our kitchen.
Share if you're also happy to grow your own food 💖

Simon Sinek said once talking about millennials (generation from the mid 80s until the late 90s) that one of the characteristics of this generation was they love having a purpose "whatever that means".
Well for me it means that the value of doing that something with purpose (working activity or lifestyle) has a significantly higher value than the value of money or material goods in ones life.
It doesn't necessarily mean that money and material goods are undesirable, but that in times of making important choices living by or developing the chosen purpose prevails the standard of money and material goods, usually established by the culture or surrounding society.
Nevertheless developing this purpose goes hand in hand with having the minimum amount of means to live.
Examples of this are widely found in religions as it is for monks, nuns, priests and so on, which often sacrifice a life of wealth for their beliefs.
Anyhow the purpose for current generations is commonly linked with a sustainable and happy lifestyle on the planet, safe for one self and for the relationship with other living beings.

Part of wanting to transition into a more sustainable lifestyle means for me being able to get my food directly from home.
I can't even mention all of the reasons why this is important! But some of them are for me that I know exactly what is getting on my plate and into my stomach, I can avoid the use of toxic fertilizers, so to avoid earth erosion, I promote bees and insects propagation (which I have noticed since having such a blossomed balcony and house) and also just because I love being in contact with nature and seeing plants grow and develop their fruits just makes me incredibly excited (so does my boyfriend).
Is it hard to have such a blossomed home? To be honest, sometimes, yes. You need to be careful to water your plants regularly, maybe daily, maybe even twice a day. Is it worth it? Totally!
Just look at the beautiful flowers and the bright colours of the fruits. In some way, plants just become part of your family, and just like you want to have a healthy happy family, so you also want to have a healthy happy garden.
Our baby plants and their care make me think of a million ideas I want to try out to make it easier for us to take care of them.
Our garden includes a (VERY WIDE) variety of chillis, (some) tomatoes, cilantro, curcuma and aloe, among other (not eatable) plants.
Can you tell someone likes spicy food in this house?? Who do you think it is? 😄😄

Actions speak louder than words.
If you realize how you feel inside and most importantly, how you want to feel, then you can actually think of ways in which you can reach that desired state of happiness.
Don't flood your self with things, trying to make yourself feel better. Pay attention to yourself first and to your feelings, they will tell you what you need in each moment and this will show on the outside.
Hopefully, you will realize that you need less to feel more and this will for sure make an impact on the world.
You don't need to beat yourself up for being on which ever state you are, just try to choose everyday to commit with self-change guided by your intuition, that way you will have a clear conscious that you are making the world a better place 😊
Happy middle of the week!

Summer is here and even though the sun is shining more than usual and this helps to bring happiness and comfort into our daily life, there are things that can't be overlooked when talking about sustainability and that is mental health or well-being.
It sounds strange to link mental health, sustainability and a picture of some trees, but you see, everything is correlated.
When a person has a weak mental health or poor well-being, decision making becomes harder and decisions are often made under a state of stress, which means impulsive decision making. This behaviour is very likely to be the base for an unmeasured and non-conscious consumism.
Necertheless, nature and specially plants not only help with reducing CO2 emissions, regulating temperatures and balancing water and many other components in ecosystems, but they also have a positive effect on relaxation.
Being in the presence of plants, either on the outside or at home helps reduce stress levels and thus, balancing our behaviour regarding consumism.
Out of these and many other reasons, having a home with prevalence of plants may help you have a happier and sustainable lifestyle.

This is one of those projects I had eyed a long time ago and just finally decided to bring to life.

It's been a while since I've been gone, but I have been rethinking some ideas about the direction of the store.
Since foundations are the most important part of any entrepreneurship, here are the ones for
: The have agreed upon 17 common sustainable development goals for the balanced growth of the world within its limited resources.
The 17 goals are as follows:
1. No poverty
2. Zero hunger
3. Good health and well-being
4. Quality education
5. Gender equality
6. Clean water and sanitation
7. Affordable and clean energy
8. Decent work and economic growth
9. Industry, innovation and infrastructure
10. Reduced inequalities
11. Sustainable cities and communities
12. Responsible consumption and production
13. Climate action
14. Life below water
15. Life on land
16. Peace, justice and strong institutions
17. Partnership for the goals

Economic activities will most likely be successful in the future through implementing strategies that involve activities that create interaction within the different goals.
